I’m seeing a lot of posts about how certain immigrants sent to El Salvador are not actually criminals and this is true but I would also like to remind you that people with criminal records shouldn’t be subjected to this, either.

The reason that the US is locking up tourists for weeks in hellish detention centers rather than letting them book tickets back home is because the detention centers are owned by corporations. They are charging the taxpayers fortunes to cage these people, and making bonanzas off their suffering.

I'd also say, give people a safe space to go if you can. Let them inside so they can contact a lawyer, see warrants, be protected while they prepare. Get their phone and ask who to contact, etc.

All these guys who have never worked a single goddamn day in their lives are obsessed with making sure that YOU work every minute of every day.
