Ominous statue on a plinth
More finalized textures. Now just lacking functionality and all of that.

Bought a new mouse today to replace my current one (where the left mouse button either clicked 0 times, one time or two times when you pressed it). Now I have to retrain my right hand with pressing the left button. Went from a Corsair M65 RGB Elite to a M65 RGB Ultra.
My brother in fuck, you don't beg the person you're trying to scam to open a document you sent.
The past months, all the spam that manages to get past my spam filter has always been fake order confirmation mails with 'alleged' invoice PDF:s. While peeking at my spam folder, there was one where the person sent an e-mail the next day with "please open the PDF".
Holy shit, I've hit my 30s...
Anyways, ding, so on and so forth.
So... yeah... I've begun the process of porting The Beneath to 1.21.1. Only took me an hour and a half to get a base workspace up and running (totally not because Eclipse 21-12 is incompatible with Java 21 or anything). Baby steps...
Ominous statue on a plinth
Textures TBD, but statue on plinth that will serve a purpose
I didn't do my due diligence, so my Unraid configuration is toasted (USB is dead, and I got electrical maintenance tomorrow, so power will be out in my apartment). There's still a chance I made a backup and have it on my laptop or something, but I think I did a dumb.
Happy new year! ๐
AbyssalCraft 2.0.0-BETA-6 has been released! Rings (for upgrading blocks), more rituals replaced with Anvil recipes and a bugfix! Download over at legacy.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc...
This is pretty much the plot of Backpack Hero, just lacking the tyrant who seeks to control the dungeon, claiming of anything found down there
AbyssalCraft 1.11.3 has been released! A couple of backported bugfixes and improvements! Download over at legacy.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc...
AbyssalCraft 2.0.0-BETA-5 has been released! Updated models, updated textures and some new config options! Download over at legacy.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc...
A tooltip reading: "If you stare int... Oh, it's looking around, trying to figure out where you are"
Re-modeled Energy Containers, some pages explaining Ritual Charms, probably replace more stuff with Anvil processing, then I can finally get this update out. I wonder how much of this I can blame on tech debt, and how much is just an everlasting bruh moment.
You know when you just see something and go "I needed that", this was one of those for me. Thank you both rednasVGM and BiNtY
Physical copy of Analepsy album "Quiescence" on a desk with a keyboard nearby
Network is down in the office (carpenters doing carpenter stuff), so time to ripp my comfort music CD
Tiered Energy Pedestals, with a smaller detail piece to determine tier, instead of the whole block being re-textured.
Tiered Sacrificial Altars, with a smaller detail piece to determine tier, instead of the whole block being re-textured.
More subtle design detail on tiered energy pedestals and sacrificial altars. TBD how I'm gonna do the same with the other tiered blocks.
Average Megabonk run:
"I'm not dealing enough damage..."
"Dude, that boss just dissolved into a pile of sludge because it glanced at you for a split second"
"... Still not enough damage"
Jacket from the band 'Distant', with their logo displayed in the front.
Distant merch came in the mail (or tried to) today!
Oh no, not my neurological big dick energy! ๐ฑ
Only "more classes for recipe listing" left, then all of the fancy pants "what have you"s are handled in a generalized way, instead of copy-pasted bits all over the place. As an end user you won't notice anything, but I "made thing better", so yay \o/
It's just button handling that's left to deal with, then the Necronomicon's almost entirely data-driven. Might be more classes for recipe listing, but otherwise I can handle everything in the book through a single data object.
I'm in refactor hell, and I'm loving every second of it, despite lying on the ground, shaking, while my mouth is frothing.
Mod development has grinded to a halt the past month. If I just wrap up the documentation on things I've switched to use an Anvil for and finish the re-models of the tiered PE blocks, then I should have a release candidate.
An extra level would be to have an event happen at some point, then later have it become clear that one of the players traveled back in time to do something in that event, and now they need to time travel in order to keep the timeline stable by doing their part
Had three instances where the tenth flip landed on tails, but finally reached an ending where that didn't happen!
