Don’t get me wrong. I am far from a fan of this lot & am particularly pissed at Starmer’s sycophancy.
Personally I am exhausted at the media led claim that it’s all ‘Labour’s’ fault. Nothing exists in a vacuum, except politics it seems.
This would not have been done lightly. They were backed into a corner. That said Starmer is despicable for not backing up Canada in the trade war & praising Trump. It clearly sent the message f the commonwealth
Anyone coming in to attempt to get things on an even keel would have to make terrible decisions. As a result the current Labour’ rule has brought in a whole number of things that absolutely go against the core ethics of the party. This would not have been done lightly.
Firstly Labour has not truly been Labour since Blair. Secondly the Tories successfully hid the truth of the financial disaster for so long that all it did was get worse & worse..
It’s the shitshow the Labour Party inherited though. The Cons managed to keep the situation hushed but it was still there.
