πŸ“’Preprint alert! We found a new PGRL1 paralog which evolved in grasses. Modelling suggests it has a distinct lumen-exposed region, compared to β€˜conventional’ PGRL1, which could provide faster regulation of photoprotection. The two PGRL1s are expressed in different cell types in NADP-ME C4 grasses!
