BREAKING: As many as 150 U.S. troops have been wounded in the war with Iran, according to sources familiar—far higher than the Pentagon’s publicly disclosed figure of just 8 seriously wounded troops. The true toll of this war is already far worse than the public has been told. (Reuters)

I think this story is a really good example for people to look at when it comes to understanding bias at NYT. It's not that the reporter, Dana Rubinstein, says anything outright false. But the framing, word choices, etc., add up to an unprofessional and biased account.

24 hours later -- not a peep out of any House Republican leaders or any Republicans in Congress or the Tennessee GOP at all about this.
I go no responses from anyone I reached out to.
Guess they're all fine with comments like this!

Breaking: Anthropic sues Pentagon over being labeled a national security risk
Gee, ya think the plaintiff has a good case? Considering Pentagon officials went from being ready to entrust Anthropic with the highest level of strategic security clearance to banning them from all federal contracts…

The bombing of Iranian children is an unforgivable crime
America has blood on its hands.

Gullible, Cynical America
The trouble with believing anything and nothing at the same time
The data economy has made us dumber in ways that also make us vulnerable to authoritarian takover. We are have become both cynical and gullible in the sense we think we are too jaded be fooled and as a result are tricked more easily www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

Not to repeat myself but: DHS lies brazenly because lying brazenly works
It's what police depts around the country do on a regular basis when they have unfavorable facts. Honed to perfection, amplified by media stenographers.
Recall, this is how they initially described George Floyd's murder:

The Right Wing is motivated by an arrested development where they become dependent on authoritarian adults to rule over them and then, in adulthood, are desperate to find dictators to step in to replace those adults and allow them the freedom of unfreedom and to functionally remain children.

Rep Stansbury: “The president & his admin can’t explain a legal justification for an eminent threat that gave them the authority to use the military—
They can’t provide an explanation of their war plan — they can’t explain why they’ve killed over 200 civilians — the president needs to be impeached”

So we have yet another incident where a US citizen was shot and killed by ICE, and the official ICE account differs from bodycam footage.
This is the story that took nearly a year to break and now we have the bodycam footage.

This is not a dress rehearsal. Every single American must speak out against this Facist administration.
