A wonderful meditation on Gàidhlig, place, history, mythology, love, memory, regret, God and life itself. I'm also very grateful to @aonghasphadraig.bsky.social for signing my copy. Actually the signed one is still in Shanghai with the brother, so I bought another to read until I pick it up in May.
One of the finest salmon rivers in the north.
A few years ago they redeveloped it slightly; essentially you can now walk through the wet market more easily and it's a bit cleaner underfoot. But the sense of organised chaos and rich smells remain.
