We’re getting so many comments from customers about how excited they are about RFK that we’ve stopped politely ignoring their comments and are actively telling them we disagree and are terrified for our country.
I wish I would’ve saved all the local flyers from shows I played and bigger bands that came through when I was in high school and my early 20s to do something similar with.
Saw something this weekend about accepting that authors will write with AI. No. Don’t accept it, don’t forgive them.
Tariffs like those that are coming are not a punishment toward other countries. They are a regressive tax that punishes low income and middle class families.

I didn’t feel like working out today. Like, I was actually moaning as I walked down to the basement. But I did it. And once I started, I went longer than I planned because I realized I was improving at a few things, which made it more fun. Anyway, I’m glad I did it and thought I should share.
Same. I’m trying to focus more on art, novels, and music this year. Just trying to stay slightly aware of what’s going is driving me insane.
Book - Maeve Fly by CJ Leede
I finished reading Maeve Fly by CJ Leede this week. If you’re into American Psycho, L.A., or Halloween (with a dash of Disney princess), I’d recommend checking it out.
I know this isn’t exactly a photo sharing app, but here are some recent shots from our 1957 ranch. Our living room / dining area is the only part of the house that feels close to “finished,” whatever that means. I’m looking forward to doing more to the den, kitchen, and bedrooms this year.
Can’t wait to see it!
It’s great to see horror getting some Oscar nominations this year with The Substance and Nosferatu.
The second person said “oh” and left, clearly embarrassed. And let’s be real, there’s actually little that’s more patriotic than criticizing those in power and holding them accountable, whether you voted for them or not.
Another customer overheard the conversation and stepped in by saying “it’s unpatriotic to talk badly about the president.” Of course, my wife responded by informing the person that that isn’t what was happening, that she merely answered a question about potential price increases.
Yesterday while my wife was working in our store, a customer asked if we’re concerned about price increases on some pet foods we carry from other countries (Canada and Italy). She responded that if the tariffs happen, she doesn’t see how how they wouldn’t increase.
That totally makes sense.
One of my goals for this year was to really cut back on social media. And here I am with yet another account. Perhaps if this works out I can stick to just Bluesky and my blog. I’m sick of all the other guys.
