The 8 Million Dollar Transgender Mouse
The 8 Million Dollar Transgender Mouse
Thereβs a major shift in U.S. cybersecurity policy. A recent CISA memo removed Russia from its list of priorities, focusing instead on China and local systems. Analysts were told not to track Russian cyber threats.
1. Today, the NYT has reported that 100 members of an ERG-adjacent LGBTQ+ chat in the intelligence community have been fired.
This is a new McCarthyism, a new lavender scare meant to remove LGBTQ+ in government, and the way this was done should shake us all.

This is a coup right? School House Rock didn't prepare me for any of this.
Oh my god.
They removed "transgender" from the page about Trans woman Sylvia Rivera's page at the National Park service.
"Sylvia Rivera began fighting for gay and _____ rights"
WOW.
If another [straight/cisgender/white] person asks me "why I have a backup plan to flee the country" I swear I'm gonna cry again.
Of course I have a backup plan.
Can't wait. One day I'd love to play with you friend!
I think we should start telling our friends we love them more. This is my mildest take.
We are struggling too. Just making plans, having a strategy, planning to get together with other queers. Building community. It's hard but we do a little bit at a time.
The OPM (federal government HR) created a snitch line for anyone to report DEI in the federal government.
The email is DEIAtruth@opm.gov
It would be a shame if the email was flooded. I want to be clear. The trans community is absolutely definitely not well known as tech savvy people.
I hate it. But probably π
This is so fucked. This is a real agency communication. From a federal government program. From the *first woman* to hold the NASA administrator program, who probably benefited from a DEIB initiative.
Soccer stadium, large fabric flag of Mae Borowski from Night In The Woods, holding an axe and wearing team colors. There is text in the Night In The Woods title font on the right and left. It reads "From Stonewall a brick and Portland an Axe, Respect our pride or expect our wrath." It's cool
I don't think I need to clarify my stance on the topic but these soccer folks summed it up
I've had Taco Bell farts that have lasted longer than the TikTok ban.
Like, what.
HE DID IT TWICE?!?
Storygraph is one of my favorite platforms right now. For personal and social uses
It definitely doesn't feel the same. I feel like I lost something dear to me :(
I have so many feelings about this and it just sucks.
"More people died from homelessness than homicide in Nashville this year.β
A friend shared this photo from yesterday's memorial at Riverfront Park.
An absolutely worthwhile endeavor. Players love describing their characters and everyone loves fashion
Thanks for this scorching ray of truth

Also fun fact. As with most things. We can blame Reagan for this.
1. The conventional explanation for food desertsβthat these places are too poor or too rural to generate enough spending on groceries, or too Black to overcome racist corporate redlining β fail to grapple with a key fact: food deserts didnβt used to exist. My new piece in The Atlantic.
I worked with a buddy on their thesis studying food deserts in our city. It's incredibly historical. They don't pop up overnight. There's a lot of inherent racism and classism involved.
My lips got bigger on estrogen!
Please message your congressperson and ask them to vote against this. Every vote matters.

I love scary movies but living in one for 4 years seems a little excessive.
I love this new platform and all the buzz. But I need some trans, queer, ttrpg, writer and science followers/peeps.
Some of the best books I've read have been trashy
