Thanks, yes it’s been a relief. It was really preying on my mind! She won’t be moving north. I’m certain she isn’t well enough. And the only reason she wants to is to appropriate my husband. She wants a husband-figure to ‘look after’ her. She’s really weird about men.

Still looking v wintry here in Durham (NE England not USA). Small signs of spring coming though.

Ended up phoning this morning. V strange conversation. Parent refused to answer inquiries about how she’s getting on. Sister not speaking to me again, so I’m completely in the dark about the prognosis.
Parent still seems to think she’ll be moving north to be near us. She blooming well won’t!!

It’s difficult parent’s birthday later this week and I’m trying to psych myself up to ring the hospital and speak to her. I can’t see it going well. Recent telephone conversations have been brief and unpleasant. But my conscience will punish me if I don’t. 😖
