There are only 4 spots left on the Milford Writer's Retreat, running 9 May-16 May at Gladstone's Library. Get a week in an en suite room (complete with a writing desk), breakfast & dinner included (you can also find lunch in the dining hall or at the local pub or deli), access to the common room (complete with honour bar and all the overstuffed couches & chairs you could want), plus, of course, access to the grounds and to a SILENT and *gorgeous* library where you can write to your heart's content! For reasons, I am idolising these words this week.
My husband has been dreaming up this absolutely wild, queer, post-apocalyptic, camp fantasy world for years, and now the first full novel in the series is finally coming! Check out his Kickstarter. :D
A weekend that more resembled the type I'd have had 30 years ago put a smile or two on my face. That I've managed to make it to birthday appearances every weekend in February and all out of town was quite surprising, but all things considered, very welcome.

This 'Star Wars' run I'm doing is kinda OP so I'm imposing a few limits. The party looks pretty badass though.
Ranger class is awesome. If I didn't keep coming up with stupid ideas for other parties I wanted to run, I'd pretty much live as a Gloom Stalker, probably. Tons of fun choices for wizards too. Can't wait to see which flavour of evil wiz you go for!

I had a Swashbuckling Astarion, Tav on College of Swords Bard (which is always amazing), a Bladesinging Gale and Eldritch Knight Lae'zel. Rounded out with Tempest Cleric/Drunken Master Monk Shadowheart, which was ridiculously fun.
Still raining here, but I've been stuck in this particular weather forecast for a little while now.
What style of adventurer have you created for yourself? I just did a pirate-themed run and am now doing something a lot more Star Wars. :D

I'm back on the research after taking the month off, by necessity, as it turns out. Actually at the National Museum of Scotland today so starting as I mean to go on with field trips!
