When discussing Minimum Viable Products, I believe Dyson’s way of building products is a better example for game devs.
Instead of just iterating on a single genre over and over, we try expanding to different markets. Imagine doing R&D while still reusing our code and assets to make a new product.

Thank you, Chris & PMG for once again shedding light on this.
I hope the game industry will no longer turn a blind eye to the abuse and exploitation that workers from low-income countries such as from Indonesia and Malaysia experienced.

Since then, the companies we looked at have continued to work on some of the biggest games in the world, without any push to improve the conditions of the artists doing that work. (1/7)

You can peek through and see the interior of the buildings when the walls are destroyed.
This is one of those features often taken for granted because players probably do not notice it but will immediately feel something is not right if it's not implemented.

Funny thing is, in my paper i wrote “kris antoni hebat sekali hehehe” as the encoded test msg in the CQR code. It literaly translates into “kris antoni is so great hehehe”.
Now it is forever immortalized in research paper databases and other citations
Just watched Veritasium video on QR Codes and adding colors was mentioned.
It reminded me of the paper I wrote in 2008 for my university degree.
I proposed Color QR (CQR) for mobile content distribution.
Turns out it’s been cited 22x and included in conferences. 🤪

I love the developer commentaries in Valve’s games. The HL2 anniversary update especially is a #gamedev masterclass.
They got it all, from tech, animation, to level design, environmental storytelling, writing, voice actor, playtesting, and much more!
