Paging @brigidalverson.bsky.social, this should sound familiar to you. :)
After seeing them portrayed as the "Serious" team of the NFC East for so long, it's pretty fun seeing the Eagles getting to be as funny as the rest of us.

If you have never seen the Tokyopop version of Initial D, I don't think anything can prepare you for how fucking awful the music replacement was.
If you want to read a deep dive into the newly recovered episodes of The Daleks' Master Plan, the DWM Terry Nation special which includes my script-to-screen article is still available: doctorwhomagazine.com/specials/doc...
Red-Headed League has always been my choice.

Hair and wardrobe assistants do checks on a child actor playing an ape in a planet of the apes movie. The ape is staring right down the barrel of the camera with a βget the fuck out of my faceβ look
Iβve been laughing at this photo for ten minutes
I FUCKIN' CALLED IT!
Twats in comment sections going on about Dr Who before it was woke, obviously not remembering the episode where William Hartnell looks right down the camera and says 'And incidentally, a happy Bi Visibility Day to all of you at home!'
Not even the Nazis expressly announced they were committing war crimes. Indeed, at Nuremberg war crimes were denied.
But here, openly, the US Secretary for Defense is explicitly admitting to committing war crimes.
How can you hope to express your grief, when all you feel is an absence of feeling? Can we truly change our shape for others, or can we only grow more forgiving of ourselves? Let's dig into the messy, vibrant stuff of life, as we begin Journal With Witch

lan Levine's Doctor Who Group lan Levine β’ 2h Obviously I'm thrilled that part one and three of my all-time favourite Doctor Who story have successfully been returned. If this had happened three years ago, I would've not been able to sleep from excitement. But now I feel ambivalent. These two particular episodes, I have now done three separate times each. I was very satisfied with them. Of course the real thing is always the best, but it's only very recently that I redid them. The most interesting part of this will be to compare them. I hope that when you do, you will see that I was pretty close. Not perfect but pretty close. I'm now excited to see them again and just compare them for myself. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4g7kwq1k110
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand heβs off.
Every time a new Hartnell episode is discovered I marvel at what a fantastic actor he was. And fantastic Doctor, for that matter.
That was some good Frieren.
The Telegoons revived the Goon Show on TV just after it had ceased to exist as a radio show. For kids like me whose parents werenβt fans, it was first exposure and first love. I still see the puppets in my minds eye when listening to the βreal thingβ.

More clips and extended clips as well. The Nightmare Begins is going to be a fascinating watch

there's probably lots of reasons why hooters failed but i think the largest, and hardest to see in a spreadsheet is that the plausibility of "liking it for the chicken wings" was shattered once you could get reasonably good wings almost anywhere else
(I mean, I literally cannot watch this scene without laughing hysterically, so I think it counts.)
Let's start this year with PUPPY POWER!!! Repost with a fictional dog you like. πΆ
A section from a wikipedia article with the heading "Title Discrepancy" that reads: Translating the original Japanese title of Aa! Megami-sama proved to be problematic. Fred Patten, in writing the preface to the collection "Watching Anime, Reading Manga: 25 Years of Essays and Reviews", stated that fans were still debating whether "Ah! My Goddess" or "Oh My Goddess!" should be used at the time of writing, approximately 15 years after the first Oh My Goddess! manga was published. When the United States anime import company AnimEigo obtained the original video animation (OVA) rights, they titled the series Oh My Goddess! This approach was also followed by Toren Smith and Dark Horse Comics when translating the manga, released in concert with the OVA series in 1994. Smith has since stated that he saw the title as a play on "Oh my god!", and felt that there was no problem when translating it. Smith confirmed that his interpretation of the author's intent was correct by consulting with Fujishima. Nevertheless, Kodansha's bilingual release of the manga used Ah!My Goddess, as did Pioneer's North American release of the film, and Media Blasters's 2005 DVD release of the TV series. Fujishima stated in Animerica that "Oh" was closer to his intent, but acknowledged that the title should be rendered so as to make sense within the country that it is published, and specifically stated that films may warrant different titles than other works. 19 He did, however, state that he would prefer to see consistency between the titles of the manga and those of the animations.
*touching the ground and closing my eyes* a great battle was fought here...both sides shed blood... *cocking my head slightly, brow furrowed* but neither can claim victory........
Two panels from a Pogo comic strip by Walt Kelly. Churchy La Femme screams "wow!" so loud that Pogo and Beauregard jump into each other's arms and fall over. Then Churchy looks down at them and says "It's Friday the Thirteenth!"
Today is the date of the birth of the great Al Jaffee (March 13, 1921-April 10, 2023). One of the great joys of my cartooning career was becoming friends with this legend. Here is an interview Mark Frauenfelder and I did with Al, for Mark's podcast Gweek.

Photographs of a dinosaur-looking bird, the shoebill, and popstar Sabrina Carpenter, overlaid with a height comparison showing both are 152 cm, with visual graphics saying the magazine's name SSWAGGER and some Chinese characters
Photographs of a shoebill and popstar Sabrina Carpenter overlaid with a height comparison showing that, yes indeed, both are just 152 cm
I can't even begin to describe this photograph. I think that might be Taylor Swift on a night out with Sabrina Carpenter. But Sabrina is photoshopped to have a shoebill face and talons, with wing-tips coming out her coat but still Sabrina's hair
Just incredible shoebill awareness-raising from this Hong Kong teens' magazine
The list of existing Doctor Who episodes from the 1981 DWM Winter Special.
I love out out-of-date this list is.
(Yes, The Invasion 4 shouldn't be on there, it was a mistake)

I lost my job, my kids have measles, and gas is six dollars a gallon. But at least now theyβre not tearing down a statue of a Confederate general that Iβve never heard of in a city that Iβve never been to.
