Yeah but today's cutoff date for being able to vote in the "Progressive Primary" is kinda tight, don't you think? How about giving COPE and the Greens a bit of time (say, a week) to be able to recruit members? Let's be procedurally fair here.

In solidarity with today's ICE OUT OF MINNESOTA blackout, MinnMax is donating $1 to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota for every share of this Bluesky post for the next hour.
Wish you had negotiated a single mayoral candidate with the other progressive parties. Or was that part of the announcement I missed?
Very happy Don Davies (my MP) was re-elected. It shouldnβt have been close.
Listen, if Rebel News gets to ask questions, @thebeaverton.com should get to ask questions. Let me ask Pierre if he thinks my biological clock looks fertile enough. I'll wear a blazer and everything. Don't deny me my rights, you cowards www.cbc.ca/news/politic...
The people of Vancouver just elected Sean - because he takes clear moral stands and doesn't back down.
Yeah, he's been provocative, sarcastic and edgy on social media.
But the accusations of antisemitism are BS - repeating them won't make them true.

This is the same Gordon Campbell who ripped up healthcare workers' contracts, right? I'm pretty sure BC teachers haven't forgotten him either. Yet he's some kind of business guruβ¦smh. @kensimcity.bsky.social has learned nothing.
Nice work, COPE! (Also proud mom of the tall young man in the back row, far left, who spent a lot of time on the streets in the past few weeks working toward this victory)
OneCity's plan for Community Services - More money for libraries with more hours and new branches. - Reinstate Vancouver as a Living Wage Employer and fight Ken Sim's plan to scrap the Park Board. - Fund more public washrooms, shelter housing and mental health support.
In his very first budget, Ken Sim turned down a request from the Vancouver Public Library to provide sufficient resources to deal with a rise in abusive patrons.
He turned them down.
@lucymaloney.bsky.social will fight every day for the investment we need in community services.
Photo from the south parking lot entrance by science world in Vancouver, showing the temporary bike lane made with orange cones. An ambulance is parked in the temporary bike lane.
Awful news to report: a scooter rider was hit about an hour ago on the seawall detour outside Science World. The City stated they chose a less safe route for the detour, crossing the Science World parking lot entrance, because they wanted to preserve more parking. 1/2

If I am informed about things then I will not be able to speak about those things in an uninformed manner so I must continue to be uninformed in order to keep Canadians informed about the things no one is telling me. This is just Conservative common sense.
I can think of one even bigger mistake: letting Ralph Kaisers onto City Council.
We need to stop him. On April 5th, we need to elect two progressive City Councillors - to stop Ken Sim and Ralph Kaisers from doing more damage.
And we need to drive Ken Sim from power in 2026.
I loathed Gordon Campbell, but I liked his carbon tax.
Did not expect to end my life shooting Yankees down on Zero Avenue but there you go. I'd rather die than live under fascism & hopefully so would the rest of you too.
Well hello, gawgeous.

Wrong. Donβt normalize it. Period.
Retweet if you are in Canada and expending some effort to buy less from America
This is the one bright spot in my life right now. #homer #theodyssey
Late to this party but it took 6 months for my hold to arrive. Didnβt like the first chapter but it got way better once Ivan showed up, and I just finished it on a crowded 145 bus, wiping tears away. Thank you Sally Rooney!
