Finally finished the main armor build. Need to still do gap filling and the like but it's at least all together.
Shoulder armor is next.

Salutations Victorians!
We've received this rather mysterious telegraph, take a close look at it and maybe you can help decipher it for us!
Slight update on my cosplay project for gencon.
Most of the armor is together and sized just right. Still need to add some details but it's about 90% put together.
(pay no mind to the horrible mess)
I love this old sculpt. Simple but has a lot of character to it.
Work on the cosplay for Gen con continues. Finished the shaping of the hat and finished some of the belt pouchs.
Next up is the holster for the Las pistol, and depending on the amount of energy I have this week maybe some progress on the armor.
Bethesda can't allow NV to be explored, it opposes their direction of keeping the fallout series in a stage of forever post-apocalypse. Fallout 2 and NV focus far to much on society rebuilding for them to ever really meaningfully explore them.
season one very much feels like the studio just wanted a spoof. (though there are a few gems here and there even in that 1st season)
from 2 onwards I think they just let Seth have more freedom to be serious and make an actual show.
Also thanks to @edpaintskrieg.bsky.social for help with some of the inside cover content!
Finale version of this prop is done and the first batch made.
Going to have a bunch of these in a punch on my belt while I'm cosplaying at gencon next year. I'll hand them out to other Imperial Guard/40k cosplayers.

such a great military craft for a setting.
just a pod with engines, a gun/guns, and some arms for utility work if it's needed.
GM's and Balls. Federation kept using the Ball all the way till the end of the war, for no other reason than it was cheap to make and easier to train pilots on than the already cheap and simple to use GM.
version 2 of this prop.
it's turned out much better, I'm thinking I'll have to sew in the paper for the finale version but that wont be too bad.
if all goes to plan I'll have like 20 of these with me at Gencon I can hand out while I'm in costume.

I wanted a hand prop for an #imperialguard cosplay for Gen con next year.
It's a crappy 1st version prototype but I'm happy with it as a proof of concept.

Yeah that's probably pretty close.
betting on new blood and working on player development seems to have paid off.
blew up during pre-flight checks.
I'm watching it right now. 0-4 and a jail break in the 2nd.
is this what it feels like to be a frost fan?
what about one that allows you to mix modern milspec stuff with skynet tech in a kinda madmax way?
No TRRPG is perfect, I learn and keep ones around because they do stuff better or fit into a genre more clean than others I have.
Congrats on getting through it! It's been so fun seeing someone watch it for the first time through the snapshots of your posts.
I forgot these were a thing.
they are starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel in terms of pilots in general by that point honestly, let alone *good* pilots.
Basically anyone from sides 2,4, and 5 would have lost most of their families. Anyone from AUS, places along the pacific coasts, and a good part of north America would have also been pretty effected.
the thing that really messes with me about that is in the setting half of the human population is dead by month 2.
Imagine trying to get together something close to a passible logistics system for both a space and ground war when 50% of everyone is gone. logi service were fucking god-like.
To be fair, the Tellarites and andorians actually do kinda like humans.
Humans can argue with the best of them, and we have a lot in common with the andorian mindset.
There's a reason zeon pilots call the Gundam "the white devil".
and to think, all it took to make it a major success was a bunch of horny Japanese women who shipped the hell out of char and amuro.
lol if your not aware of it already, they had to cut down the number of episodes in the series suddenly near the second half *and* had their budget cut many times.
much like TOS, MSG was thought to be a total flop at first.
Jesus, with that perspective it looks like a 12ft long tub.
