Are these completely different ports on MD or is it just one in different packaging? I do remember one from ages ago but I think that one was not quite finished.
I assume it is because of these things in the past that they don´t want to do it.
They may not have seen the sales they had hoped for. Sometimes the demand isn´t there for a corporation to bother. Sony´s classic program has a similar issue, the publishers don´t want rereleases for small audiences.

X-Perts probably wasn´t given nearly the resources it needed.
SEGA wanting pre-rendered games after the DKC hype made a lot of sense but they would have needed more memory for more variety and a bigger and more experienced team. Many of their resources went to Saturn and 32X games I imagine.
Weird to me that they did get feedback like that. In the 80s it wasn´t really that uncommon for games that are vastly different to be sold as sequel to a hit. At least on the home market.
I love MD indie games. But the majority of homebrews and indie releases on the system look considerably better than this graphically.
The devs decided all by themselves to focus heavily on their supposed great use of the hw.
Had they said this was a small learning project it would be different.
Doesn’t mean it can’t be fun or have actual technical achievements, but when the talk focuses so much on its use of hardware and memory compared to others I think it‘s fair to make the comparison to other games, and most look better than what is shown here as far as I‘m concerned.
Hmh… gotta say, for all the talk about the technical miracles and being a game that truly utilizes its almost 200mbit it looks kind of weak so far graphically.
I‘d say the majority of indie releases on MD look nicer. Heavy hitters like Xeno Crisis runs circles around circles around this graphically.
I can understand their frustration. But I don´t understand why they made their work public under that license in the first place if they didn´t want that to happen.
I hope other shops like @dragonboxshop.bsky.social will carry Vixen (and Sorcerer‘s Kingdom should that release in English after all).
I am hesitant to order from that chaotic website with its mix of languages and currencies, and not knowing where anything will even come from.
Their website is confusing. It is listed as a Japanese company. Some of the site is in Japanese, some in English, some Spanish.
Vixen‘s pre-order page is English and prices in US$. Sorcerer’s Kingdom is for pre order in € and Spanish only?
And they don’t link to their Traysia release at all.
For me personally maybe some slowdown would indeed help. Just remembering the kind of challenge you preferred compared to what I enjoy.😅

Oh yes! This was also a good quirky choice for a re-release on PS4/PS5 last year or the year before. The controls take some getting used to but it‘s a lot of fun.
And Mr. Mosquito also had his own bot in Astro Bot!
After the disaster that was part 3 I think it is best left alone. Backed it right as the e3 press conference was going on. Didn’t expect modernization but just to be as good as 1 and 2. But what Ys Net came up with was a disappointment in every way so I don’t trust Suzuki anymore.

Hatte damals auf ein 32X gespart, und bevor ich das Geld beisammen hatte hat SEGA das Teil beerdigt. Und heute ists sogar teurer, aber irgendwann kauf ich noch eins.^^
Obwohl es auf dem 32X erschien war das soweit ich mich erinnere SEGAs größter Verkaufshit im Weihnachtsgeschäft 1994.
So schnell es mit dem 32X auch 1995 bergab ging, sie waren bei der Wahl eines System Sellers für den Start clever.

So wie die AfD hierzulande wächst und gedeiht denke ich, dass man sich freuen kann dass es in den USA zumindest wieder in die richtige Richtung geht.
Wir sind natürlich noch nicht in dem absoluten Abgrund Marke Trump gelandet, allerdings bewegen wir uns noch in diese Richtung.

Was du hier schreibst entspräche eher einer Situation, in der die Alliierten die deutsche Bevölkerung mit einem Holocaust bestraft hätten.
