Last night we watched "Cellar Door" (2024) and it sucked, obviously. This morning I asked my six-year-old to guess what was in the cellar. Here are her three answers, all of which would make a better movie:

* A big gem
* a person who sells things
* A hat... made out of a person

A clip from the BBC News opinion piece on the byelection result: "A final thought that will be part of the conversation in the hours and days after this by election – the suggestion of significant "family voting" as it is known. Hello BBC Political Editor Chris Mason, the dogwhistle of family voting will only become "part of the conversation" if the media make it "part of the conversation", which you are doing, so maybe back off the passive voice and own it?

I look at that advert and I'm reading PC Zone in bed in 1994. Tone is perfect. I can feel the paper in my hands.

Thinking about it I suppose "It's my birthday, or was until 20 minutes ago" is another way of saying "It's the furthest it's possible to be from my birthday".

Quick screenshot of LUGE 2026 showing me racing some ghosts. Apparently taking that screenshot was too much for my Mac btw, because the screenshot area is still highlighted despite the screenshot moment having passed long ago and I'm gonna have to reset. I want to say it was worth it. I want to believe it was worth it.
