The designs for the bosses were far more traditional witch concepts at the start.
After much iteration we got to the modern and hyper-stylized aesthetic , with which we are far more happy.
The lesson? Iterate everything!

Defining what to do with the backgorund in Break the Witch has been surprisingly hard. Here are concepts for the 1st level as we came to terms on the style and perspective.

We are working on improving the sound design for Break the Witch. A good sound design can make the difference between tuning in and breaking away from the experience.
Right now we think it is at an ok place but we will do more polish to it in the future.

When developing our games we make an effort into creating invisible tutorials. This is the level progression we have right now in Break the Witch where we try to introduce things slowly and increase the difficulty little by little to let the player learn.
