Reminiscing over my first ever flight to America for my first tour and horrifying the passenger next to me by watching Eraserhead on my laptop… I don’t see what all the fuss was about though, it’s actually quite a spiritual film.

Just on mute! Usually inspires some sort of idea. I think just having a distraction helps me not overthink things and let the ideas come out a bit easier rather than getting too stuck on what to make.

Solid! A trick I got from hyroglifics / two swords to expand a little on this: even if you don’t like the idea, render any of the parts out from it that sound interesting and they may be useful in later projects!

I love this approach. One tactic I’ve used is having a movie playing in the background to sort of guide a writing process, or at least loosely inspire a theme.
