We're hearing that the infamous "NUDE" devil sign which hung over the former Paris House Modeling Studio on Santa Monica BLVD has been removed. Opening in 1969 as Charming Girls, this classic den of iniquity was known as Paris House since 1972. No word on what bland boring business will replace it.

Fifty-three years ago last week Doug Richards' (aka Jerry Douglas) seminal all-male film THE BACK ROW opened at the 55th Street Playhouse in NYC. Interestingly that wasn't one of the theaters seen in the film itself!
Gay (a NYC based newspaper) announced the winner of the caption contest for this picture in July 1972:
