The ‘deadbeat’ was Charles Manson.

The TV industry has no moral compass.
It's purely about ratings, clicks etc.
This is just one of so many exploitatative true crime docs in a tsunami of horrible TV that helps no one but the broadcasters.

Writing competitions are not judged blind & I have my own experience of that. Publishing peeps are very partisan but worse believe unwaveringly in their own righteousness.

It's my decade long held opinion that many on the Brexit right are not really voting about migrants or EU membership or any of the other crap they purport to be about.

They're voting against other people's joy.

Yeah, it's a real omission. I can understand why they did it because the film would have been very long but a real shame.
Instead your left with the idea that Willoughby is an ok bloke.
Austen's intention was that you would see the opposite.
