ANGELA LANSBURY - born 100yrs ago today - told how her daughter fell under the spell of a Hollywood deadbeat whoβd pick her up from school & get her to steal money & food from her parents. Worried, Lansbury moved the entire family to Ireland.
The βdeadbeatβ was Charles Manson.

21 August 1920 | A German Jewish woman, Susi Kreutzberger, was born in Katowice. She lived in Berlin.
In February 1943 she was deported to #Auschwitz. She did not survive.
Thank you so much for your kind message.
I'll keep your offer in mind.
I should have known better than to attempt it again... but here is why this time it's really over.

Darcy and Elizabeth appear to be completely incompatible.
Is it possible they can every tie the knot?
This is how everything conspires against them, particularly their own personalities.

βIs there internet on your iPhone? It isn't connected, it's just a camera. I'm envious of that. I hate it. About 10 years ago, Katy Perry was talking to me about the internet armies of all the girl singers, and how cruel and rancid they were. I said, "Well, I wouldn't know because I'm not on the internet." She said, "So, who are your rivals?" I just looked at her. It was my steely look. I said, "Katy, I don't have rivals. I have friends. All the other women singers that I know are friends. Nobody's competing. Get off the internet and you won't have rivals either."
I fucking love Stevie Nicks for this

It is pretty sick & I'm convinced it encourages others.
The TV industry has no moral compass.
It's purely about ratings, clicks etc.
This is just one of so many exploitatative true crime docs in a tsunami of horrible TV that helps no one but the broadcasters.

It's the big one!
The one everyone's heard of. The one most people love. The one that gets discussed most.
Pride & Prejudice
A missed opportunity but sometimes I think some risidual prejudice.
Writing competitions are not judged blind & I have my own experience of that. Publishing peeps are very partisan but worse believe unwaveringly in their own righteousness.
βYou just feel everything with Trump is about payback.β
Tina Brown recalls how she watched Donald Trump turn from "a salmon colour to raging magenta" when he was roasted by Barack Obama in 2011 β and how that moment shaped his hatred for 'liberal media'

It's my decade long held opinion that many on the Brexit right are not really voting about migrants or EU membership or any of the other crap they purport to be about.
They're voting against other people's joy.
Yeah, it's a real omission. I can understand why they did it because the film would have been very long but a real shame.
Instead your left with the idea that Willoughby is an ok bloke.
Austen's intention was that you would see the opposite.
Country Lane in May, Andrea Bates (b.1943)
Old Fox had been out since dawn with a stout willow basket gathering ingredients for his teas, tinctures & syrups, his wines, liniments & poultices. Elderflower, cow parsley, sweet woodruff, hawthorn, mallow, goose-grass & thundering great nettles full green of iron-spit-cure.
