This was fascinating to report for @pnas.org Recent discoveries are giving some ancient ideas a modern scientific footing -- bolstering Western acceptance and strengthening the case that acupunctureβs benefits may extend beyond placebo effects. www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...
BC just announced that it has adopted permanent DST -- pushing Vancouver winter sunrises to after 9 a.m. for about 5 weeks. The decision also leaned on a survey in which 93% of British Columbians supported perm DST. The survey didn't include an option for perm ST... My take: a bad move.
So, The Inner Clock wasn't actually my first book. I started with far more important subject matter. And the best genre ever: Choose Your Own Adventure... Will my Seahawks choose to pass or run this time?!? π

Happy Birthday to THE INNER CLOCK! π₯³ Itβs been an incredible first trip around the sun. Huge thanks to every scientist, reader, reviewer, podcaster and supporter who has helped me spread the word about living clock-wise. πβοΈβ°π
Today, I was laid off from Cascade PBS along with my entire team and most of the newsroom. I'll have more to say, but I have loved my time as news editor alongside some of the best journalists I have ever worked with. Every time a newsroom closes, stories go with it. The silence that follows is loud
