Finally, @evamorenob.bsky.social will explore how ambivalent classism and sexism intersect to influence stereotypes, emotional responses, and behaviours toward women and men living in poverty.
➡️ Gendered Classism Profiles: An Analysis of Ambivalent Classism towards Men and Women in Poverty.
The third talk delivered by @sofiaschwartz.bsky.social will discuss gendered classism profiles showing how feminist identification relates to less classist attitudes.
➡️ Socioeconomic Status Self-Deception as a Way to Perpetuate Classist Societies.
During the second talk Davide Melita will present their recent paper introducing a new construct - status self-deception - and discussing its role in reinforcing classist dynamics.
➡️ Does Interaction with People Living in Poverty Foster Paternalism?
The first talk examines how positive contact with people living in poverty is associated with a reduction in hostile attitudes but can simultaneously reinforce paternalistic classism.
During #ISPP2025, members of the AMCLA and SOGEDI projects, funded by @ageinves.bsky.social ves.bsky.social and COES will present four talks chaired by Gloria jiménez-Moya. These studies draw on longitudinal and experimental data to explore classism from a psychosocial perspective ⬇️⬇️
