Is that our run of easy games over now?
@stcarey
You may see the old man but look closer and you'll see the lifelong learner, the runner, the wannabe poet and the cineaste who loves stories of humanity and resilience. Family matters (and MCFC is part of my family)
Is that our run of easy games over now?
A special mention for Nunes tonight - almost as bad as Haaland.
Everyone keeps saying Arsenal will drop points - it doesn't matter, we will drop loads more.
(It was anyway)
Madrid must be bricking it.
Cos Peps a genius, doncha know.
Doesn't matter who we play, every game is a struggle right now: Salford, Leeds, Forest, Madrid and now West Ham
Just fuck off City. 50000 passes and you get nowhere. Dull as shit to watch.
Possession means NOTHING. Absolutely nothing thrilling about watching City in that half. Slow, safety first, sidewards and backwards passing, nobody runn8ng at players, no shots on goal
Nico for Rodri and Doku for Marmoosh in 2nd half
We're not good enough to not take those kind of golden chances.
West Ham have realised we're shit
Let's see what Citys mentality is like now
Donnarumma is absolutely shite on crosses. The worst I've seen.
Already the game is crying out for a Cherki/Foden/Doku. Someone who can either beat a player or play a killer pass.
Its not everytime he loses, it's everytime he loses a massive game because he sets the team up to play in a way they haven't played before with players out of position and inform players dropped. He's not a fucking victim, he's the cause.
Own it for once.

Why would these players trust Guardiola if and when he wants to try another one of his brainfarts in a big game?
Guardiola is too fucking arrogant to eat some humble pie and apologise to the players for shafting them.
I really hope this is his last season with us.
Nor the one that played so thrilling at a hostile St James Park.
He has us playing a suicidal high line to achieve control and it costs us. We don't have the players with the technique: Foden,Cherki, Rodri,Bernard maybe but Nunes, OReilly, Doku, Haaland, Dias, Semenyo, Marmoosh - not technically good enough.
Why won't he play to the players strengths?
"It's nowhere near its final form yet" Whats he going for? Pacey wingers? Doku's 3rd, Savinho's 2nd season. Muscular midfield? Bernado every game with an inform Nico dropped every time Rodri is fit. He's obsessed with control but the problems are:
So why is it not working now? Maybe, the most important thing is having world class players. Maybe it was as much about the genius of the players as the genius of the coach
He's not a genius. He doesn't evolve his teams. He's totally, 100% wedded to the pivot because Cruyff told him 40 years ago that this was the way to play.
Even when we had no Rodri, he had to have a pivot, a player who didn't know the role. Genius.
Who was Madrids pivot last night?
Done with Guardiola. Sick of his tinkering.
Won only one CL with the brilliant Barca team
Failed to win CL with Bayern
Won one CL with best team England has ever seen, a team with world class players everywhere. Why only one? Because he always tinkered, always. Dropped Fernandinho for the final!!
Arsenal beat them 3-0.
And our painfully slow football means that he's a passenger in these games.
I'm afraid I got what I expected from Haaland tonight. He needs to play against a team that sets up like City - he'd have a field day.
Haaland didn't get any service. So what? Aguero used to drop, play others in, actively seek the ball, score individually brilliant goals and CONTRIBUTE.
Haaland refused a penalty in the FA Cup Final and did nothing in the other 2 finals or the CL final.
Greatest striker? Nah.
Pep: that was our best performance at Newcastle in my 10 years here. So I am dropping Ake, Stones, Nunes, Nico, Marmoosh and Ait-Nouri. Khusa and OReilly were brilliant so I'll play them in a different position.
Trust me, I'm a genius.
Nah, play the stiffs. Save Marmoosh for the League Cup Final
*shite
Against Forest white
Against Newcastle great
So let's play most of the team that played against Forest with some players from Newcastle but out of position.
