A productive weekend. When I've not been packing boxes for my planned house move, I've been working on the expanded version of my new novel, The Wolf Throne. It's coming together really well and I'm now on page 225/298. I hope to have a finished manuscript later this month!
Between events, are you longing for more from the amazing folks over at Spotlight Indie?
Well fear not, they have a Patreon, and you can support all these wonderful people are doing.
There's even an exclusive short story from myself, set in the world of the Vermin of the Old Empire.
Check it out!

Coming up with voices for, tracking and maintaing alllll those characters has been one of my biggest challenges and pleasures in my career.
I loved the result π Sorry if I nearly broke you π€ͺ I have to say, this has been one of my favourite creative projects so far, so I hope to break you again in the future!

The Brotherhood of the Eagle A Complete Viking-inspired fantasy series Hall of Bones, Sundered Souls, Lost Gods & Broken Brotherhood by Tim Hardie βone of the most epic series I have read in the last couple of years. The Brotherhood of the Eagle is a complete Viking-inspired fantasy series, which will appeal to fans of Robin Hobb, Giles Kristian or John Gwynne. The first book, Hall of Bones, was an SPFBO Finalist and thereβs an accompanying audiobook narrated by the talented @rjbayley.bsky.social
After adding five new chapters, I'm now doing a full read through of The Wolf Throne. Good progress tonight. I'm finishing on page 34/292 and hope to continue tomorrow.
Wait a minute... I think I know the person who wrote that!
The struggle between cats and reading (or in fact getting anything done whatsoever) is real...

An excellent weekend working on the expanded version of The Wolf Throne. All the new chapters are written. Now it's a case of going through the whole novel, making sure everything still hangs together. Not long to go now until I have a final draft manuscript!

More work on The Wolf Throne this morning. I'm developing a second story strand to help flesh out the background of certain characters. This will provide more context for how things work out in the second half of the book. I'm liking how this expanded version is coming together.
Thank you! π
It's been a long week. More coffee is needed π
