Love to receive a product document only to discover that it was generated by AI. The purpose is shared understanding! What would I gain by reading something you didn't write?! Why would I design based on this? π
we have entire stores and industries around promoting alcohol use, despite it having no medical benefit, causing many traffic deaths, & directly leading to physical health problems.
Cannabis has scientifically proven positive uses, and people are dead set on banning it despite minimal social harm.
Scott Galloway recently told Derek Thompson on his podcast that childbirth is βdisgustingβ and βunnaturalβ for dads. Iβve studied fathers' experience of childbirth in my lab for years, and I think Galloway is wrong. darbysaxbe.substack.com/p/scott-gall...
A sign for a suite in a medical building for Carus Dental. One of the dentists listed is Eugene "Chip" Silvertooth, DDS
I did not actually see this dentist, but I walked past the sign a lot... Chip Silvertooth

Was this a DM or do y'all have a channel for butt and/or vegetable stuff?
Eufy is certainly better than ring and pretty manageable for non-tech users. We've got Reolink running on a local server and it's nice as well, but a little less user-friendly.
Us and miles of grassland between Austin & Houston, a true voting block.
btw I know you from like 20 years ago, we had overlapping social circles (I'm Sara, was close friends w Emily B), Hi
I moved from 290E/Springdale to out by Mansfield Dam and was somehow still in McCaul's district despite being a 50min drive away.
I kept saying his campaign felt like some sort of op. I, a registered Texan dem voter, never saw an ad on my TV or computer, but somehow friends of mine in the northeast did. Never saw signs for him, never heard anyone talk about him locally, but apparently I was supposed to see NFL and be like π. k
I want to make things that people find useful, that respect their privacy and humanity, at a business that is content to be profitable at a fixed size. It's shameful that this is near impossible in tech.
I have RA, so my meds are similar. Best believe I'm up-to-date with literally every vaccine I can take, though. I still have some MMR immunity, but I worry so much. I'm sorry you're in this situation.
Anyone on immuno-suppressant meds should definitely talk to their doctor. MMR is a live vaccine, and those are usually contraindicated. I'd have to go off mine for 4-5 months to update my MMR, so I especially appreciate everyone who can staying updated. Glad you're talking about it.
This is like when someone says, "We all have that one friend who says racial slurs," and you realize who they hang out with.
I am personally finding it very easy to avoid exchanging chipper emails with any known sex offenders, idk.
Quilicura, Chile, one of the communities I wrote about in EMPIRE OF AI, has launched a brilliant initiative to inspire more responsible AI prompting. Today, don't use AI; ask the townspeople instead: quili.ai. So heartened to see this creative act of resistance.
And yet companies are out here evaluating employees on whether they are using AI enough in their jobs.
Timeline cleanse: The Montpelier Ohio public library employees playing "Go Patterson"
(they're @montpelierlibrary on tiktok)
Perhaps you're just not aware of it?
Same, I always dread it until I get in the room, then I remember I like it. I'm always thinking of qualitative research I'd want to do if I were in academia.
I have a STEM masters & Information Science masters, only in the latter did I learn the value of and methods for qualitative research, which I use all the time at my job in tech. Also frankly the research is so fun to read.
A staffer from the Apprentice has spoken openly about it... Trump loves to sue; if it weren't true I imagine there'd be litigation.
Just pretend like the kidnapped kid is your kid, or, like, your biggest corporate donor. Whatever works, Dems.
this guy is a true fan
this reminds me of the way iβve seen susan bro speak about her daughter, heather heyer. when a fascist murders your child, you arenβt allowed to just grieve. you have to defend their memory, even their very grave.
my 9th graders did this when I was teaching 15 years ago. it was so depressing to me that they just casually accepted this reality. the drills gave me (an adult) nightmares about trying to lock the door, imagine what it's done to them.
I am actually not looking for meaning at my job, I'm looking for a salary so I can sustain my own human life.
his visual representations of data were also incredible - this book blows my mind every time i open it
