A momentary non cosplay thing - I hate job hunting, it is one of my least favorite things in the world. But, I do love when one of my dream places to work has an opening that matches my timeline.

Just the first of many hidden embroidery details on Hiei that no one will actually see, but it makes me super happy. Both Hiei and Yukina will have little nods to each other, and I am really happy about it.

Just realized the threads are set up on the disk like a snowflake. This was not intentional, but is a nice little nod to the character.

I am not only working on my own AMKE cosplays (mostly Hiei right now for OBVIOUS REASONS), but I also have a few things that I am making for MoonlightMeika for Yukina. Mostly support items for the kimono. Here are some images of the obi jime.

So pretty

Making some obi makura for AMKE. Few will recognize one of the materials used - specifically the batting which is actually the same (though in a thinner layer) as I used for the fins on my Nausicaä mask, meaning it's actually meant to be a seat cushion. Cosplay resourcefulness at its finest.

Just some Hiei progress. The scarf is done, and both pools and stands up properly. How did this happen? Infinity scarf made out of linen, batting, quilting techniques, and rolled hems. #cosplayworkinprogress #hiei #yuyuhakusho

Went to the art crawl at a local garden center today with @elsasaurus.bsky.social and we got food from their café. Had a great time hanging out with my friend, looking at art, and getting some new plants.

Look at that mitered corner. I tend to stitch them down with hand stitches while hand finishing my bias tape finishing. Just some navy linen and black cotton flannel to finish the final contructional pieces of Hiei's under tunic.

Same. Honestly, this is one of the things I would rather be overly cautious of.

In these situations, reach out to the show runners and ask all the clarifying questions you need, give them the context information so they can give you the best answer, and proceed accordingly. It's ok to reach out and ask the questions you need clarifications on.

When you frantically message a cosplay department for clarification on which class you should enter in because you aren't 100% sure what class you need to enter at. Sometimes the rules aren't cut and dry simple because unique circumstances.

2025 Trans Girl Scouts To Order Cookies From! This year, consider ordering your Girl Scout cookies from a trans girl scout to make their day!

Anyhow, I try to find small, concrete things to do so I can avoid panicking, so right now, that small thing is buying cookies from transgender Girl Scouts. As a bonus, I will also have cookies.

I personally like using silicone molds and mixing materials because they can be cleaned (still should only be used for resin once used for resin) and reused. A silicon mat can also be helpful for keeping your mixing and pouring area clean, just know it won't be food safe afterwards.
