Strange how that patriarchal idea of women deaths still resonates…

Each person killed is beyond a tragedy, every stolen life shameful and an irrevocable loss

Such death-seeking militaries should all be dismantled

The military-industrial complex, the carceral state, and the fact that America has even given birth to Trump are all fundamental problems that need to be addressed, more than electing a non-Trump to sit in the White House

No, I was saying that the way the electoral college works plus the way partisan politics works, it is very difficult to find those right votes in the right place

But even more importantly, the disease of American fascism cannot be cured by politics — there needs to be institutional dismantling

Hopefully that is a winning strategy that will help dismantle these violent institutions

Fair enough…

Of course, an outsider can sometimes see more of a system than those entangled within it

But if they are a lost cause, and weren’t going to vote for Harris regardless, than the election was a fait accompli for Trump… that would seem to be an even bigger indictment of the system

And if Trump was destined to win, I don’t know why anyone would want to participate in his anointment

10.03.2026 21:22 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0

Why should the burden be on me, don’t you have basic research skills? It is your “feeling” that more leftist voted for Trump than more moderate Hilary Clinton voters

10.03.2026 21:19 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

So why bother with them at all… if they are a hopeless cause, you should be spending your energy elsewhere

10.03.2026 21:17 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

No, basic mathematics and an understanding of political system such as the electoral college

10.03.2026 21:15 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

So you blame the democrats for alienating the left?

My view is that it is more an institutional problem…

I honestly think you should be building unity and working together against the abhorrent fascism threatening everyone rather than attacking some minor contingent of potential voters

Surely this is the time to reach out and feel their pain and show empathy, no?

I know America pretty well, probably better than most Americans

For example, even under the most charitable view, most “leftists” (those in NY or CA for example) had no influence on the election by refusing to vote

I think I have plenty of clues…

Unfortunately, there isn’t much data that can be relied upon in a post-Truth America

Wait, who do you think I am? We haven’t killed anyone

I didn’t influence your elections… I am just responding politely to discourse on the public internet

And we do get to comment on elections that cause non-American suffering and death

10.03.2026 21:01 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

Of all the political groups, I am sure people with left-wing views were the least likely to fight for Trump

Undoubtedly, there were more Hilary Clinton voters who voted for Trump in 2024 than “leftists”

If that is the standard (staying home), it is more like 100s — I am sure most people are doing something, resisting in other ways

If anything, they were ahead of their time — voting apparently didn’t get shit done, other than legitimize Trump and hand him control of American violence & terrorism

In any case, if one is relying on a few thousand voters in the swing states to prevent American fascism from terrorizing the world, one has much bigger problems to worry about than partisan politics

Trump is the bitter, albeit extremely dysfunctional, fruit of an imperialist system that has always preyed on the most vulnerable… Trump didn’t create ICE, the military-industrial complex, the ultra-rich

Maybe Americans should pull that tainted tree up by the roots instead of just its leaves

You know what else is privileged, assuming everyone is American and can participate in that county’s undemocratic & fascist elections…

10.03.2026 20:42 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 3 📌 0

It does seem a little rich, if not grossly privileged, to blame a few thousand potential voters who were too traumatized by genocide to vote in the election and not the 70 million plus who voted for Trump, and the inter-generational institutions of violence that have facilitated his terrorism

Why not get rid of that pesky right to an attorney, and the burden of needing to prove guilt…

10.03.2026 10:00 👍 7 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

It is even worse when you think they are seeking to abolish the RIGHT to a jury trial…

Labour is taking basic rights away to feed the voracious appetite of the carceral state

Of course capitalism pre-dated Adam Smith’s book… The Royal African Company was founded nearly a century before and was part of the transition from a feudal-turned-mercantile system into capitalism.

The feudal kings were not capitalists but relied on royal sovereignty, vassals & divine rights

Turning humans into a commodity through racialization was a development of capitalism and generated the triangular trade that made Western countries wealthy at the expense of Africa and the indigenous Americas

Capitalism is a particular economic-political system built on a materialist view of the world that seeks to commodify its resources through capitalization; this involves private ownership of the means of production, wage labor, and being guided by the extraction of profit/accumulation of wealth

10.03.2026 08:25 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

Ah, I think you are confusing trade & barter with capitalism

10.03.2026 08:25 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

But okay…

What about Manichaeism?

10.03.2026 00:09 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

Wait, are you saying that the Bible and Quran are works of fiction? Or are you referring to the Book of Mormon?

It doesn’t matter if the stories are true, faith makes religion… and the religion of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is as legitimate as any others held faithfully true

In the biblical story, Cain and Abel weren’t slaves…

The curse of Cain as a justification for enslaving Black people was also a racist canard

09.03.2026 22:54 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

Capitalism emerged out of the commodification of Black bodies, chattel slavery a form different from previous iterations of unfree labor

Capitalism developed from Western imperialism, mercantilism, and the transatlantic slave trade… it is very much entangled with racism and white supremacy
