It truly boggles my mind that they are so committed to recreating that experience as close as possible that they don't let you just play the damn ROMs in 2D.
Seems good

Don't set unrealistic expectations now!
Andrew Kadel @DrewKadel@social.coop My daughter, who's had a degree in computer science for 25 years, posted this about ChatGPT on Facebook. It's the best description I've seen. Something that seems fundamental to me about ChatGPT, which gets lost over and over again: When you enter text into it, you're asking "What would a response to this sound like?" If you put in a scientific question, and it comes back with a response citing a non-existent paper with a plausible title, using a real journal name and an author name who's written things related to your question, it's not being tricky or telling lies or doing anything at all surprising! This is what a response to that question would sound like! It did the thing! But people keep wanting the "say something that sounds like an answer" machine to be doing something else, and believing it *is* doing something else. It's good at generating things that sound like responses to being told it was wrong, so people think that it's engaging in introspection or looking up more information or something, but it's not, it's only, ever, saying something that sounds like the next bit of the conversation.
The only thing ChatGPT ever does.
I 100% acknowledge I just can't let go of Delmar from O, Brother Where Art Thou, is probably where my heads at with regards to his performance.
Felt like they wasted Tim Blake Nelson a little bit. Maybe I just didn't like seeing him play a mean bastard?
Daniel's family needs help with bills.
Hey y'all, my friend Daniel is undergoing cancer treatment to fight for more time with his family. In meantime his wife and daughter need support to make ends meet.
If you have even a couple bucks to spare, please consider giving to one of our own & signal boost.

Superman and Krypto shown from behind. They sit on the Moon and gaze at the Earth.
Hey y'all, happy Halloween! Today JCP presents a very un-spooky treat: an episode on James Gunn's Superman featuring @jalachan.bsky.social @tethilus.bsky.social and @julietstmoon.bsky.social !
Have a listen: www.jalachan.place/85

Not me try'n to spin their damn camera and see a collectible they missed.
Last night I recorded an ep on Superman (2025) with @tethilus.bsky.social and @julietstmoon.bsky.social. I will continue to assert that while also a fun ride, it provides a real sense of joy and hope that I feel everyone deeply needs right now.
Give it a watch. Even if superheroes aren't your bag.
Can the horrible Content Machine be stopped? Perhaps by some sort of... smashing machine?
Emboar stands expectantly in front of the player character, whose back is to the camera as they sit in a cafe.
What do you want I should do wit da body, boss?
The player character speaks to a man in the street. The speech bubble reads: "Do you think a PokΓ©mon could be mayor someday?"
Dogs should vote
The player character has tea in a cafe with Frogadier. The camera is tilted slightly.
You're right Frogadier, why shouldn't I keep the Ring? After all, I found it.
