The world plan is to do everything in your statement up until the word "until". It will be a long, long time before the world again trusts the American electoral system and its people. Trump winning once was an aberration, twice is an indication of a systemic failure and lack of concern.
I guess the US military is calling this collateral damage.

Carney wasn't talking about Trump. He was talking about the thuggery that powerful, imperialistic countries, like the USA, can apply to less powerful countries. You may want to pretend that it's just Trump, but the world knows your system will elect something similar again. You have form.
I was able to get an exemption online very quickly but was warned that next time I'd have to have the Canadian passport.
Guess I'll have to shell out to renew my British passport now as well.
I got caught out by a similar situation when I went to Canada last year. Dual citizens need to have their Canadian passport no matter what passport they travel on. Apparently it had been like that for awhile,.
