Saturday morning, MLUC showed up at Citizens Bank in Wayne. ✊

Citizens Bank finances CoreCivic & GEO Group—the two largest builders and operators of ICE detention centers in the US. We came to say: divest from detention.

We made the signs. We brought the kids. We'll keep showing up.

Last Saturday, MLUC members stood outside Citizens Bank in Wayne calling on them to end financing of ICE detention. We weren't alone — and we're going back.

Saturday, March 7. 11 a.m. Citizens Bank, Wayne, PA. Come join us.

This is what a congregation looks like when it means what it says.

Can I Go to Church When I Don’t Believe? The magazine’s Ethicist columnist on separating belief from an appreciation of the arts and rituals produced by a religious organization.

"Of course, you could always visit churches, like those of the Unitarian Universalists, that explicitly reject creeds and that expect some members of the congregation to be atheists. They have hymns, too."

The holiday season is a time to reflect on how our celebrations align with our values. Each choice—songs, stories, gatherings—brings an opportunity to weave UU values into our holidays. 🌟✨ How do UU values shape your holiday traditions? 🎁🕯️ #UUValues #HolidayTraditions #UnitarianUniversalism

🌹 Child dedications, such as the one from this past week's service, are a highlight of the church year. The thorns of the roses are removed to symbolize the congregation's pledge to protect the children and support them as they grow.

May the gracious spirit of our humanity reach out to those who are particularly vulnerable now remembering that they especially they but many others are most at risk and most in need of love.

A prayer for #TransgenderDayOfRemembrance

May we come in this time to cease to shame children because of who they are.

May we remember those who have been harmed and murdered because of who they are.
