🌹 Child dedications, such as the one from this past week's service, are a highlight of the church year. The thorns of the roses are removed to symbolize the congregation's pledge to protect the children and support them as they grow.
May the gracious spirit of our humanity reach out to those who are particularly vulnerable now remembering that they especially they but many others are most at risk and most in need of love.
May we find the strength as a society and as a people to welcome the free exploration of identity and expression.
A prayer for #TransgenderDayOfRemembrance
May we come in this time to cease to shame children because of who they are.
May we remember those who have been harmed and murdered because of who they are.
Whoever you are, wherever you’re from, whomever you love, you are welcome at MLUC.
