I'm on a run along an empty road when I spot a stranger on a bike, a man, whizzing towrds me, & as he passes he shouts "smile" as I say "morning" .....
What's that all about? Why is it so important to some men that a woman they dont know know smiles at them? & why the f*** should I!
They're not on e-bikes then! which are 'pedal assist' so you wouldn't get anywhere, let alone up a hill, without pedallingπ
Tosh. If your job is measurable by your employer & manageable to do at home then what's the problem? Less traffic on the roads, less stress from a commute, less germs in stuffy offices & less running costs for a business needing less office space

If it fails it's because its an awful bill, why else would so many medical & healthcare bodies incl RCPsych & RCPath express serious doubts saying the bill lacks sufficient safeguards.

The government is announcing a raft of animal welfare measures that include a ban on trail hunting, claiming they're just a smokescreen that masks the hunting of real animals.
Chris Packam talks to Good Morning Britain π
Whether they are elected or not is a seperate discussion, but until there is any change it remains their role & responsibility to scrutinise & suggest ammendments to bills.
I thinking's important to listen to all views, on both sides. Especially given many major disability groups have expressed their concerns regarding lack of safeguarding & risk of coercian. Scrutiny & discussion of the bill are essential.
Our gp online system works fine, for urgent & non urgent appts. If u can't fill in the form online u can ring or go in & they will do it for you.
I know, & its hard to avoid all the negativity! ....I have to distract by followering posters of art & many cats!π
That is bad, i don't think bluesky is any better than the other side sometimes, just less traffic so not as awful, yet!
I'm on loads of lists, who knows why, I certainly don't! It upset me to start with but as I don't think I've ever interacted with any of the list creators I think the whole list thing is quite farcicalπ₯°

How is the WI's membership criteria eradicating trans people from public spaces? The WI is an organisation members pay to join, not a public space. Many clubs are mixed sex. The WI could change its name & membership criteria if its that bothered

With remarkable serendipity with everything else going on this week this should be the biggest story about the BBC. The remarkable Sara Cox has found a rich seam of good out there. Don't let anyone tell you we're a broken country. This is magnificent as is Sara

Imo, using your example, if a trans man was, irl, excluded from both m/f facilities they needed, their employer would lawfully have to provide facilities they could use eg unisex single occupancy toilets.
Idk anyone who would disagree, 'GC people' or not
Don't be silly. The 'it' in "where does it say..." clearly relates to a piece of writing, not a person, which in english does not have a m/f pronounπ
Where does it say a person with GC beliefs thinks they're superior to anyone else?
It isn't stopping people who wear glasses from driving. It's an eye test to hopefully identify other more serious visual impairment which could affect an individual's ability to drive safely. I don't see a problem tbh. I'd also personally add a cognitive assessment & stop all drivers at 80!
Personally I think a test over a certain age would be far safer - there are drivers lacking insight into their declining health &/or cognition, who may not visit or listen to their dr
