others i can think of are ultima 7 and the star ocean games (though i only really played the second one, on playstation 1, i think the others also have crafting)
what do you mean by "graphical", aren't all crafting systems graphical? the earliest big one i remember that popularized crafting was world of warcraft, but it existed way back in the 80s in games like dungeon master. and a lot of mainstream games had simple crafting like RE1 w/ simple item mixing
i haven't used it but i've used gimp, which is another photoshop alternative. one thing i find that helps is watching tutorials on youtube for it, those probably exist for affinity as well
