Bittersweet because this expansion was the first to release after the Wii's compatibility was shut off... it's not like it's shooting up in graphical fidelity or anything (made for the WiiU instead lol) but I'm praying it stays cute and small and humble as it has been

Credits rolled on it, so happy with the experience. A smidge less interesting of a story to me than what expansion 1 offered, but the scaffolding of the questing here is so much more streamlined. A shockingly good cast and overflowing w/ charm and personality. Lovely lovely lovely!!!!!!!!

It is honestly quite sad that DQX never got a localisation. The cast of expansion 2 in particular is making me lose my mind knowing they'd be beloved by many. Estelle is great, Bjorn is an all timer

That's all totally understandable, forgive me for my outsider perspective here. I'm hoping it doesn't sour the story for long-time fans, there's enough of a mess surrounding the game's development itself.
That remains the sole reason I have not and will not give it a shot, blew any and all good-will I would have had off its hinges.
This is where I'm not informed enough to really weigh in. My outsider opinion is that this looks drastically different from the source trilogy enough that it looks more transformative than just being a skinwalker, but idk! Also idk the monetisation structure but Destiny was also bad so unsurprised
