Obvs might be a bit much, but I think the approach up to this big empty area that you then cause a reflection to make parts of it appear, but aren't truly there (but you can still platform on) would be neat.

Like you could have a big dead tree in the center of a lake and like when the moon strikes a reflection off the water just right you see like misty glows in the air that make it look like the leaves are back, and branches since broken return. You can then jump up some previously broken platforms etc
Maybe something with a moonlight reflection or something? Puzzles centered around positions of the moon in the sky causing reflections of different stages of some kinda timeline echoes retelling a tragic tale of what happened. Or at least hint towards it. Platforms/terrain changes & alter traversal.
Adds to the old game vibe via "minor artistic design difference seen in old advertising render vs release" tbh.
The more random miniscule inexplicable differences per render the better.
Damn. Sorry to hear. Been in that headspace before with other games. I suppose there's nothing more to suggest, just wanted to share what worked for me in case it helps. I understand that it's not something you can do when you're mentally spent like that tho. Hope the game adjusts balance more soon.
It isn't a good solution by any means, but as I said- I believe it is the only way to consistently enjoy the game as it is now.
If you're anything like me, I'm playing it obsessively regardless. If I can't control how bullshit the game is, I might as well reframe the bullshit to be entertaining. 🤷♂️
Straight up Dick Dastardly twirling my mustache and cackling at the minor inconvenience I've imposed on my opponents only to get utterly obliterated by 30 giant boxing gloves for the visual gag.
That's what I mean tho- you're 100% right that shit is annoying as hell.
I just gotta think of myself as a bumbling wacky races villain committing to some half baked scheme that is obviously going bombastically fail every time I play.
Makes the rare moments where things work in my favor cathartic.
As someone who also got mega hacked, in case you weren't already avoiding them- avoid Microsoft emails. They will just allow hackers to completely change account info and all recovery info and tools without a single alert, warning, or intervention.
Forced to be logged in on Windows for no security.
Genuinely I think the only way to do so is to accept the chaos. I don't even mean play around it or use it to your advantage, just make getting dogged on part of the fun.
Legit I just took a step back and laughed at the stupid shit that happens, repetitive as it may be.
Wacky races type shit.
Yeah that tracks. It is legitimately insane how they've managed to place themselves as a major communication hub and yet care so little about people's accounts, data, and safety.
@rittzler.bsky.social (creator of Pseudoregalia), has had their Discord and email hacked and is linking to a virus in disguise. If you see anything linking to a game called "Furfall", DO NOT engage with it. It's not made by Rittz and isn't a real game (it's a Remote Access Trojan) DO NOT CLICK IT.
Discord security really is just a total joke. I got mega hacked same as Rittz did and barely managed to take all my accounts back...
Discord support then proceeded to relinquish control back to the hacker and insist the original email I used for the account was not the original.

To be clear, I'm not suggesting to dismiss how stressful the work is. I had full on panic attack breakdowns at multiple jobs that most people would consider "easy". A few drained every ounce of life out of me.
I just think the kinds of places that would post on a local board tend to be more chill.
I've always had better luck with finding out about jobs locally than dealing with any job site's bullshit tbh.
Too many ghost listings and stuff that just never gets back to you.
Bonus points for open interviews ofc.
That's fucked up. I'd be pissed TF off for sure finding a good fit and then that happen.
I assume you've been in the same boat of applying a million places and nowhere getting back?
Was gonna say if you're still looking, it might be worth asking the library if they know of any local job board.
I recently went into pizza delivery despite not liking driving much, and it's been surprisingly not anxiety-inducing like I was worried it would be.
I guess it depends on what kinda source each person's anxiety comes from tho. That said, ofc the car maintenance and gas expenses are... Something.
This part specifically has been kicking my butt as well. Sorry that things are rough.
I wish I had something more helpful to say, but a lot of the things I see you talk about struggling with I relate to. I've been trying to find somewhere not stressful to work for a long time.
Couldn't grab a picture in time, but my dog was laying still for a moment with a bone in his mouth and he looked like a total goofball.
This is the best I could do sketching it off memory.
The festival changing paint jobs and robbing people of seeing this is absolutely criminal.
Don't get me wrong, I still love all the other different indie games out there as well, but having so many games that are easy to get my friends on board with has been really nice.
I don't really understand why there's some people who seem to hate the term friendslop so much though.
Dude I love all these cheap friendslop games that keep coming out.
I'm sure at some point we'll reach like, friendslop black hole where there's nothing new to be done, but for right now I love seeing so many new games with similar vibes.
I just played RV There Yet and it was pretty neat.
It takes every ounce of resistance I can muster to keep my profile free of reposts.
I am trying so hard to keep my stuff looking nice and clean for my "official account" but every fiber of my being just wants to repost everything I see.
Maybe I need to finally make a separate personal account. 🤔
Final one, since I really liked how the electricity redo turned out.
Definitely was a super complex setup, was certainly interesting trying to press all the buttons to keep puppeteering things to line up with what was happening in game.
Got one of my favorite clips during the Helicopter section lol
@playtonicgames.com Looking forward to playing Replaylee! I had a lot of fun making my avatar setup to reflect all the powerups and transformations during my playthrough of the original game earlier this year. Can't wait to see what's changed!
