Thank you @cassiarowland.bsky.social for your excellent and clear presentation and responses.
Chair has very graciously described LRC as being βon fireβ and we are very excited to be working with her and a great group of experts on the age of criminal responsibility. This is the proactive approach we get from @kirstybrimelow.bsky.social as Chair who like Barbara does not hang around!
Good morning indeed! We are in full flow and our Chair is outlining the full programme of work being done for barristers. Note for diary: 14 November 2026 is Bar Conference! And a heads up from me as Chair of the Law Reform Committee is that our annual lecture will be held on 2 July. More to follow.

Absolutely delighted that two of my colleagues have been appointed. Each of them has all of the qualities that will make them succeed in silk. They are also two of the most collegiate, principled, kind and modest people I know. Congratulations π₯³

Thanks Peter - itβs good not to be alone in this stuff π
Okay itβs official. I must be ancient. Teaching advocacy tonight I used the phrase βshrinking violetβ about a fictional witness. No one in the group knew what I meant as revealed when one (polite) student asked me what the jiggins I was on about.
I didnβt know. Very sad news.
Oh no - rest in peace Chris Rea. Always play the iconic Driving Home for Christmas when navigating the M1 towards the place he in fact called home at Christmas.
Great thread!
Chanukah Sameach to you and yours, Jason. We can but hope light prevails.
Stellar line up!
Got an email today from an excellent group, which reminded me of this:

This one is absolutely brilliant - inquests in Tudor History. I really enjoy this series and even when Iβm very time poor I love to listen to a bit of one whilst doing chores etc.
