I feel like Quest was given an unfair assessment by reviews at that time tbh. I remember next to nothing about it, but that's likely because it didn't shine as brightly as It could've or because it wasn't as abysmal as reviews led us to believe.

I also grew up playing Quest 64, but I have fond memories of it because of the aesthetic. I can't speak for later parts of the game, but that initial first area was pretty magical to me, considering the game's reception.
I feel like I've had more bad experiences with games rather than actual consoles. I've had a few plug-n-plays that were mostly boring.
Only video game that comes to mind that's actually pretty bad in hindsight is Revenge of the Flying Dutchman. I liked it as a kid, but uh... Yeah, it's pretty bad.
Sorry for the novel length reply. But sometimes this belchy boy has just gotta vent.
In short, if you'd like to experience hell given digital form. Look no further than the Cd-i, my friend.
youtu.be/Ja08-XiP0oE?...
There was one game that outshone them all in sheer stupidity though. The dark castle port for the cdi. A zoomed in (for no reason) view, unresponsive button inputs. Horrendously obnoxious sounds, and FALL DAMAGE.
In wacky mini golf, it would.... well let's just say wacky mini golf was entirely unplayable, (not that it was to begin with.)
I had to play with the remote, which was sometimes completely unresponsive, or would read as multiple inputs, resulting in spammed actions such as jumping or item using. In Link the faces of evil, if you pressed the jump button, it would result in spam jumps, sending link off a cliff or into a trap.
I can only express this through text, but please understand I'm straining my voice and gritting my teeth when I tell you it was LOATHSOME. I was too young to understand that games *could* be bad. I thought it was me for so long.
Either this or some type of atari? I have the haziest memory of an atari looking system.
Itβs day 23 of 30 days of video games! What was your first pre-order?
The first time I tried to pre-order a game, I was denied. I was very excited about a game called Phantom Dust, so I went to GameStop and asked to pre-order it, and was told nobody else was going to try to buy it. π
EXCUSE ME. EXCUSE ME. EVERYBODY SHUT UP EXCEPT BENJORBIN. THIS GAME. IS SO GOOD. IT. ALSO. WAS. MY. FIRST. PREORDER. THIS GAME RULED. youtu.be/cH692fquXds?...
Merry Crimbus everybody <3
Worst guesses, go:
I wonder if anyone mouthed it along with him, possibly making a sarcastic expression.
The meme shows a cartoon character looking horrified at a computer screen. The text on the image says "When u watch a vid of yourself and hear your voice." This is a humorous meme that plays on the idea that people often don't like the sound of their own voice.

One of my all-time faves
Welp. I think the 9βers window to win bowl with *this team has closed.
It also makes it harder for them to ban books.
