I get yelled at for saying this but for many hundreds of years people went to university not to get diplomas or be employable but because immersion in the humanities was considered foundational to a good life, and school must return to its original purpose: the joy of learning.
@reaDonald Trump Iran, which is being beat to HELL, has apologized and surrendered to its Middle East neighbors, and promised that it will not shoot at them anymore. This promise was only made because of the relentless U.S. and Israeli attack. They were looking to take over and rule the Middle East. It is the first time that Iran has ever lost, in thousands of years, to surrounding Middle Eastern Countries. They have said, "Thank you President Trump." I have said, "You're welcome!" Iran is no longer the "Bully of the Middle East," they are, instead, "THE LOSER OF THE MIDDLE EAST," and will be for many decades until they surrender or, more likely, completely collapse! Today Iran will be hit very hard! Under serious consideration for complete destruction and certain death, because of Iran's bad behavior, are areas and groups of people that were not considered for targeting up until this moment in time. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP 263 ReTruths 808 Likes 3/7/26, 6:11 AM

Canada created more jobs in 2025 (! year of the economic attack!) than the U.S., tho the U.S. job market is 7.5 times bigger.
"Health" generated 41% of the new jobs. "Care" (incl educ) almost 1/2.
Demographics guarantees that this job juggernaut will continue to dominate. Demand>supply everywhere.
The supposed explosion of the federal public service looks less explosive if you put it in per capita numbers and draw a line graph back to the mid-80s.
Scoop from me: Sources say the Premier is considering building an artificial island off Toronto's waterfront for a massive new convention centre. One expert calls the idea "insane." #Onpoli #TOpoli

Prime Minister Mark Carney cancelled what would have been his first press conference since his India trip began 5 days ago with his office citing lengthy meetings in New Delhi that have strained his schedule.
So far he has not taken 1 question from Canadian journalists on a trip that began Feb. 26.
"We invoke international law and the 'rules based international order' when adversaries engage in unlawful actions, but abandon those same rules entirely when itβs the Americans doing the bombing."
#Opinion from former foreign minister Lloyd Axworthy
Our @alexbozikovic.bsky.social on the proposed new Ontario Sciece Centre. (Spoiler: He does not like it one bit.)
Because that's all they told us.
They also claimed that overall the new facility was 400,000 square feet, a number they later clarified includes the renovated Pods and Cinesphere, the bridges and the basement. But even that number is wrong: It's actually 372,519. The vacated former Science Centre is 568,000 square feet.
My confusing day: Government claims the new, smaller proposed building will actually have more "exhibition space" than its shuttered predecessor, despite releasing numbers showing it in fact has less -- and then couldn't explain itself.

It is beyond shocking that $100m can be spent on *pre-construction* for two simple rail stations.
It should also be shocking that Tory a) ran on a laughably unserious back-of-envelope "plan" b) gave city money to the province to build stuff they were going to build anyway
Another weekend in the suburbs and once again, contra every urbanist, it feels incredibly obvious that the vast majority of people in this country donβt consider the car-dependent suburb as a βproblem to be solvedβ at all. It is simply the way things should be.
"Months before Jesse Van Rootselaar became the suspect in the mass shooting that devastated a rural town in British Columbia, Canada, OpenAI considered alerting law enforcement about her interactions with its ChatGPT chatbot, the company said."
It is very troubling that the insane elderly person babbling on my TV right now is in charge of this country.
A point Iβve been making a lot is that the tariffs are 1) the policy most personally important to Trump 2) the least popular policy with the American people according to polling 3) substantively destructive and incoherent 4) genuinely opposed by large swaths of conservative constituencies.
Donald Trump, addressing his tariff loss, actually just said, of the countries he's launched trade wars against:
"They're dancing in the streets. They won't be dancing for long."
He sounds like a fucking Batman villain.
Translated lede:
"Doug Ford justified the mandatory return of public servants to the office by saying that in-person work increased productivity. But the department responsible for the measure disagrees, reveals a document obtained by Le Droit under the Access to Information Act."
