very cool. The article explaining the rationale is great, too. If it's ever helpful to have a historian+PMP give feedback on the class or game, let me know!

A.I. Is Poised to Rewrite History. Literally.
I'm sure people have *thoughts* but am also curious if/how you all are using it for your research? I've found it very hit or miss for recommending secondary scholarship (often hallucinates, etc) www.nytimes.com/2025/06/16/m...

I'm working on a project about spiritual communion (in the writings of early modern Jesuits), but I just found an author discussing *spiritual confession*, which I have never seen. Has anyone come across this before? In any medieval or early modern context? #skystorians

The "Leo" choice of name is as surprising as the American choice, IMHO. (Maybe surprising isn't the right word. Intriguing?)

Jesuit "Relations", The | McGill-Queenβs University Press
McGill-Queenβs University Press
Stoked! My forthcoming book has been blurbed: "This is a wonderful book filled with fascinating insights. Its nuanced, cool, and understated tone is distinctive and elegant. True provides a dizzying range of new ways to think about and appreciate the Relations as sources." (E. Anderson, U of Ottawa)

"They don't read" is a constant refrain from our instructors, and some of them have said that to the students directly, too ... so yeah, please let me know when you solve this for us π

Looking at how Jesuit authors treated 'spiritual communion' in their devotional writings...the short pitch being, we know they were famously vocal advocates of frequent communion, but basically nothing examines Jesuits + spiritual communion. (cont.)
