The Play of State this week makes me want more games that are _not_ set in the US or Japan... as good as most of these games are, there are so many underexplored stories in the world.
Video games can be more enriching and valuable than they currently are
I don't think it is only our job to teach students how to read long novels; it may also be our jobs to teach them how to live without an online surveillance state. To learn without intrusive apps. To swap notes. To write in a book's margins. To exist in their communities in slow, clunky, human ways.

It didn't open at all anymore since I updated to Fedora 43 so I switched to KDEnlive for now. I don't think I changed the default setting so it may have been disabled!

every single frame of animation, in-house developed sound effect, line of code, visual asset, chart, and line of dialogue was done by a human and done without using generative AI tools in the making of UNBEATABLE. relinquishing creative choices to tools makes your work empty, vapid, and meaningless
I’ve said this before but white guilt is useless. I don’t want people to feel guilty for things they had no part in, and guilt easily curdles into resentment. But everyone regardless should feel an obligation to correct injustice, especially if you somehow benefit. bsky.app/profile/mich...

Just FYI: It's just that more people are making good-looking things with Godot since it got more popular, not that Godot graphics "look good now".
