I still take issue with the giant backpacks for a few reasons but particularly it actually makes them LESS toyish to me (I know this sounds insane)

the book even goes on to like directly point out the problem there which is miach hanging out with cian and tuan and really liking them and that seemingly not jiving with this statement which is the whole point of haruhi suzumiya and I don't think the same explanation works for miach but it's there

again I wanna make it clear that miach is not at all haruhi and the fact she maintains and covets that solitude is like one of the biggest shows of how they're different

but also seriously a lot of the overlap between the two is exactly what makes me like them

I have unfortunately selectively cut all of it out but the way this book uses html and then just also the extra little bits of character in the dialogue really makes me feel like I'm gonna end up liking this more which is to be expected honestly but it's just really fun

like miach is my precious daughter but tuan is also absolutely precious to me

the thing I'm most excited about with finally reading it is properly getting to meet cian because she's good in the movie but she feels a bit more like a device than a full character there
