I finally took a vacation. First time all year. I did nothing for Spring or Summer. I had surgery and then a total knee replacement this Summer. It’s been a doozie of a year.

I started watching The Handmaid’s Tale for the first time two weeks ago. I’ve watched it every night and got through season two. I sing in my choir at a liberal United Methodist Church. Today I almost said “Praise Be” to the girl next to me, but stopped and realized I’d been brainwashed.
Every time! At the end of an episode of The Pitt I’m like, “What?! It’s over!?” 🥲
I think maybe the longer it takes, the better it will be. She likely will have a lot to say on it given the current situation. It will be worth it. Plus, let her have a break people.
I haven’t met anyone who lives and works here that isn’t disturbed and upset right now. It’s having a big impact here.
Ok. Just wanted to make sure the reason was known. It sucks.
She basically has no choice. They’re cutting the DC funding they provide if she doesn’t. It’s sad. I work right around the corner.
