Kind of a low-key week since I need to catch up on a few things home-wise and fix my sleep pattern and work on these Next Fest VODs. Terranigma starts next week! We will almost certainly finish Demon Purge this Thursday!

#alteredalma - Went in expecting Mega Man Zero, got a Hollow Knight. A little frustrating to control but looks phenomenal and had some interesting ideas. Needs some tightening up and it needs to NOT have a button that locks you in place while switching to a little guy.

#wanderburg - An interesting take on the Bullet Heaven that needs some serious balance work and tweaking to its early game progression. I can't tell if I didn't know what I was doing or if it just starts way too hard. Not very polished, but it IS a demo.

#holstin - Holstin's a game everyone's going to be talking about when it comes out. A survival horror that stands right between RE3 and RE4 with the addition of Poland's particular grimy psychosis. Immaculate presentation. You need to check out Holstin.

#bombun - A cute little game that is not as much like Bomberman 64 as the trailer got me hoping. Goood controls and LOTS of room for speedrunner nonsense if that kind of optimization is what gives you a thrill. Not bad, not for me, but not bad.

#raccoin - You know when you can TELL a game has the juice? The general Balatro formula attached to a coin pusher machine, very satisfying mechanics, LOTS of interlocking stuff, I bet I'm going to lose entire days to the full game.

#dreamera - A point and click of a classical age, very cute and goofy and whimsical. SHORT demo but it got across what it is very well. If you like some old-school absurdism this is a big recommend.

#replaced - ohhhhh one of the best looking games I played EASY. Reminded me of Flashback the whole way through, crazy strong aesthetic, but if you can't abide an easy game that is mostly about the vibe you might take issue with it. I did not, the vibe is VERY strong.
