My family was imprisoned in Japanese American concentration camps during WWII, driven by racism, greed, and spineless politicians too scared to defend basic rights.
Decades later, the same cowardice built #AlligatorAlcatraz: fearmongering, caging families, and calling it “security.”
For generations, if you came on a visa and applied for asylum, you would generally not be arrested even if your visa expired during the process. That’s over now. They’re arresting everyone, even people who have done legitimately nothing wrong.
What a terrible, awful, inhumane, cruel policy.
These 350,000 will immediately be described as "illegal" by the administration — among other inevitable false descriptors.
