Will miss their first paycheques this weekend. - and Trump has nominated an ex MMA wrestler to replace Noem - he is yet to be confirmed

@mrjamesob.bsky.social your news headlines mentioned increased threat against World Cup and β€œincreased security” - that security will be coming from the ruins of Kristi Noems DHS. - and right now congress is blocking any funding bills that go to several departments of DHS. - TSA (airport security)

All of it stories that had been sitting in their vaults for years, already confirmed, already checked by lawyers and legally safe to print.

It’s extremely unlikely that any one NYC official knew as much as any one of the editors of the NYC newspapers. How many times must we see a public figure fall from grace and in the very next edition the media has ten stories about previous crimes? All researched and double checked within hours. And

Some of us couldn’t help noticing that when Trump went on his first raids that Harvard and the Paul Weiss legal company were targets. People were shocked that either was extorted or caved to him. Both institutions have since had senior figures step down after being named in the Epstein files.

NYC media is shouting about NYPD ignored all the rumours and claims. Something we know the NYC media did for decades. We are entering a new stage in hypocrisy

Yesterday, Jeffrey Epstein's former account testified, under oath, that the Epstein Estate paid a settlement to one of the women accusing Donald Trump of raping her as a minor, AFTER Epstein had died.

This would end any other President instantly. But the press doesn't care.

Senate or Congress can subpoena a president. And any half competent lawyer could put the case that if you have immunity for crimes committed, then you have no recourse to pleading the 5th. Contempt of Congress/Senate/Court is a thing. People have been jailed for refusing to answer questions

They will. And this is Trumps favourite kind of profit. Where the poor transfer their money to the wealthy.

He is once again crossing that line, where by suggesting that the decision for war was not his own or that he knows nothing about a bombed school in an attempt to sound innocent, sounds like a president who is not in control or in charge.

Miami Herald, all of this would have been swept under the rug. It is inconceivable that people in the NYC news industry were unaware of the strange things going on around Epstein - and Trump - for decades.

While it is important to know that law enforcement failed miserably, some of the criticism rings a little hollow. The NYC newspapers are very critical of the police but take no personal responsibility for the decades of silence. It’s fair to say that without Julie K Brown and the support from the

The government would really love to get rid of wood stoves because of pollution too. Although many people have them.

No! Nothing - I heat with electricity! - and cook with it too, this house didn’t have one when I moved in and it’s never seemed worth getting one. Electricity is cheap and clean (hydro) and there’s no maintenance or increased home insurance etc.

Did you see the Ari Melber show this evening on MS-Now ?

And it was presented as a timeline similar to a court proceeding. He played clips of sceptical politicians- including republicans. Possibly done to show how awful the DOJ is before Bondi appears in front of committee. Not big yet, but might get a lot bigger.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social it’s starting to cause a rumble on Bluesky. MS-Now evening presenter Ari Melber just spent his entire show dismantling the DOJ claims on Epsteins death. Was joined by Julie K Brown for the final segment. It’s not exciting and there were no revelations, he is a lawyer by trade

Bondi has been subpoenaed and is facing charges of lying under oath and possible impeachment. The timing of this seems to be an attempt for sympathy, by implying she is a β€œvictim” in all this. She isn’t. She has been a willing accessory after the fact and a co-conspirator

@mrjamesob.bsky.social heard some interesting comment on a Private Eye podcast yesterday, explaining that with UK papers establishing a US presence, there is a temptation to write what Americans want to hear. Web advertising to a US audience is more lucrative than a British one.

Several department heads have been living on military bases, by choice almost since the start of their employment- they aren’t exactly in barracks, these are very nice homes set away from the actual base, presumably once intended for generals and their families.

UAE tycoon rules out Abu Dhabi joining Iran war in scathing attack on US Khalaf al-Habtoor says that while Donald Trump and Lindsey Graham may 'risk their country for Israel's interests', the Emiratis would not do the same

59% of British oppose the attack on Iran. 25% support. And with that disparity, Farage - man of the people - who holds public sentiment as unassailable is fully backing the war. To win favour with a foreign leader.
