It’s shocking what people will believe and do. The more absurd the story the more likely they are to spread it. Where is common sense? For that matter, common decency and common courtesy? Not common anymore. Internet algorithms are un-educating people. With AI it will likely become worse. 😞

We are wiser now. It’s important that we make all of our choices, no matter how trivial, reflective of our core beliefs and values. As I’ve said in these threads, it’s all about trust. And I cannot trust anyone who believes in or backs Trump.

Yes. This. Just feeling like: I can’t have trust with you anymore. And it’s not a little feeling. We’ve seen the worst of this kind of leaning. How close to that needle are they? It changes everything.

I’ve already got appointments with two new advisors. 👍 And the best part is I FEEL GOOD ABOUT IT.

I think there’s a lot to be said for peace of mind. I’m not so savvy that I can look at my portfolio and grasp what I’m backing. But if I already know what his (lack of) values are, surely we would not always align. I have to move to a new advisor. Or I’ll not sleep well again.

You’re absolutely right. The surrender of both parties within your government and their continued allegiance to Trump, other than a few (unfortunately far too ineffectual) voices, is baffling and terrifying. It’s the worst possible outcome playing out in real time.

Right?! I’ve lost friends over this and not looked back. But my money guy? Thing is, he’s funding (or I’m funding) the machine that thrives in “his evil empire“. I wanted to dump him instantly but I hesitated. I’m retired. I’m fixed income. I had to think. I know what I have to do.
