Edmonton, I am excited to announce that I am running to be your next mayor.
Edmonton, I am excited to announce that I am running to be your next mayor.
Excellent news!
Unbelievably short-sighted. Growing urban populations need the kinds of infrastructure appropriate to big cities: restricted pubic transit rights-of-way, safe pedestrian routes, and bike lanes. More people, fewer cars.
Also: cars don’t pay taxes, people do - including people who don’t drive.
UCP Transportation Minister (and MAGA bro) Devin Dreeshen is frightened by some bike lanes.
Nice try using scare tactics to distract Edmontonians from:
-UCP not paying to maintain the provincially run roadways in Edmonton
-AHS rebranding waste, CorruptCare scandal
-UCP cozying up to Trump
Yeah, I second this!
How do we make sure that these major projects, and core infill in general, stay affordable to families and lower income residents?
Anora? More like Another Nora
Sorry you fell! Glad it wasn’t bad.
The sunrise is nice!
That is really cool

1/ Eliminating parking minimums in Edmonton is the gift that keeps on giving. Check out this new development coming up near my place. (a thread, with citations at the end).
The alley that it backs on to is a dead sea of surface parking lots. This place, on the other hand...
Please support my work. Your donations make a real difference. Even $5 per month is a bus pass for a vulnerable youth or senior. I have no government funding or any sponsors. Last year I worked with 956 vulnerable persons. One time donations are welcomed as well. Thx
This is very upsetting.
Great book!
This is just a reminder in case you missed it the first time around.
Do the survey. Be a part of the national conversation on MAiD.
-23 ride home last night. It was lovely.
What a great photo!
I’ve been sidewalk riding through most residential areas. The streets are brutal lately.
Someone just asked me if I could ship some ordered prints by Purolator rather than Canada Post who are on strike.
Canada Post $18
Purolator $48
CP is next day. Purolator is 3-5 days.
In case you're wondering why it's important for Canada Post to survive.
(This is to Calgary from Edmonton)
Does that mean we can spend an extra 100 mill on bike lanes?
If you need some studded tires, this is a really cool program!
Looks like it’ll be around -5 for the next couple of weeks, which will be a great time to try winter biking.
Bluesky #yeg: what is the "good" organization to donate to in order to help my fellow human who is suffering from homelessness and this cold right now.
Good as in, non-religious, non-judgemental and not UPC affiliated.
Literally what I’ve been needing for several years!
Where did you find it?
A map of the Wîhkwêntôwin neighbourhood, showing the areas that are being engaged as part of round two, including 103 A Avenue, 103 Avenue, 100 Avenue, and Victoria Promenade, and 111 Street.
Don't foget about the Wîhkwêntôwin Neighbourhood Renewal engagement!

Is there anything built in to Bluesky that prevents this from happening down the road?
I’m worried once it picks up steam (and money) and brings in ads the algorithms will push outrage and division and misinformation yet again.
This needs to be said, loud, and often.

I had a great weekend learning tons at the Parkland Institute Conference, and finished it off at a potluck doing some grassroots organizing.
