*hugs* some mental tranquility would be nice.
Awake nice and early to enjoy another full day of cacophonous invasive thoughts. Oh goodie.
Going to haunt your replies and put a bug in your ear to do that Sunday Scaries stream playing BioShock. Choose Rapture. โฅ๏ธ
I took my Rx too late. I should set an alarm. But I'll just turn the damn thing off. I don't need that voluntary anxiety, thank you very much. Where was I going with this? I dunno. G'night, I guess.
Ooh! I wanna replay *this* game! Oh. I don't actually have the game. I played it through GamePass, didn't I? Well, that sucks out loud.
It's in my Poe collection, so I'll give it a go!
A speedy, comfortable recovery to him!
I did indeed have a long, deep sleep. Alas, my brain decided to give me a dream where I can't find / get to where I need to go. A regular theme for me it seems. I always wake up from those dreams tired and annoyed. Why does my brain hate me so? Weh.
Aw, bummer. *Hugs*
Are they at least comfy enough for a sleep shirt? Yeah, not as fun as wearing them to a game or elsewhere, but it's something?
Reverse hybearnation?
Hardcover copy of Gou Tanabe's Manga adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's At The Mountains of Madness. It's a black and silver cover with the art depicting... I don't actually know. There's a building, or what looks like one. Surrounding it are shapes and figures. Maybe illustrating the things that sent men into madness wasn't a good idea.
Title page. At The Mountains Of Madness in large white letters against a stark black background.
Started on Gou Tanabe's Manga interpretation of H.P. Lovecraft's At The Mountains of Madness. I do miss Lovecraft's purple prose, which has a Jules Verne level of technical verisimilitude. But the images are indeed striking.
Goodnight, and may your slumber be long, deep, restorative, and rejuvenating.
That lagoon should be dry too.
How my brain "works": I want to read Dan Simmons' The Terror, & thought a good preamble would be At The Mountains of Madness. The stories are at opposite ends of the Earth, but Mt. Terror (mentioned in Mountains) is a real volcano in the real Antarctica named after the real ship: The Terror.
Hmmm... This Gou Tanabe adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's At The Mountains of Madness mentions Edgar Allan Poe's The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket as a point of inspiration for Mountains. Even as a fan of Poe's works, I'd never heard of this one. Huh.
Looking good!
That thing is massive! Gonna break wrists with it! Yeesh!
Break a leg! You've got this!
Aaah! So cute! (Yes, you and Boo)
Screenshot of the results screen for RE4. It's of a computer monitor. Standard difficulty. A playtime of 15 hrs, 46 minutes, 25 seconds. 36 saves. One playthrough. Giving me a B grade.
Resident Evil 4 (VR) Standard mode completed!
D'aw. I enjoy seeing you out and about on Bluesky, and welcome more of you. *Hugs*
All of the bots that I've seen lately have been political in nature, rather than sexual. Lots of faux left-leaning stuff.
This site needs an EMP to deal with all the bots. I'm here for the people, the connection that can be (& still is) had here. It's something. The bots are really ramping up the feelings of isolation though. It's not a good feeling. Gonna bid y'all a goodnight. Well, the humans. The bots can fry.
Congratulations! I hope more joy finds you on your way!
Cujo?!
I played RE4 VR until the controllers whined about batteries. I defeated the military dude. Guy that trained Leon. Him. Tanky bastard. It just keeps going, doesn't it? Not complaining, just commenting.
Show me your transportation.
(Fuck the gig economy)
