Can you remember a time when cartoon villain type of evil was a rare act of a deranged individual, or a haunting memory from a time when the world was radically different? I never knew evil could be so blatant, so every day. No explanations, nothing fascinating about it. Just plain dull malice.

Trump will likely try to make Denmark choose between NATO and Greenland, and wider Europe between Greenland and Ukraine.

True enough. Local bully might be a more accurate desctiption.

It seems to me that the big picture of maga foreign strategy is to replace US as the 'leader of the free world' with a new US local great power comparable to Russia and China. Competing with them, but also cooperating against the residues of the rules based world.

I've said it before: If you represent a democratic institution and you wouldn't give an interview to an extreme-right newspaper or a pornographic magazine, you should not create content for X either.

I would love to see political leadership from NORDEFCO -countries (Nordic 5) announcing a months long “long-time” planned exercise in 🇬🇱 (Greenland).

There is a lot of speculation about whether Denmark would fight the US over Greenland. This misses the point that the biggest opposition to a US invasion will clearly come from the Greenlanders themselves. Is the U.S. willing to repeat Wounded Knee to get the locals under control?

I think "discussed" is too mild a phrasing. If US attacks Greenland, Europe should basically treat the US the same way they treat Russia.
