Scottish Opera offers hugely discounted tickets to people under the age of 26. In fact most of the theatres here do, usually for around £10. Which means you could see a whole live show for less than the cost of a ticket to one of Timothee Chalamet’s films. Just saying.

I'm a recent convert to ballet - as in I watched it live (Giselle via live feed at the cinema) for the very first time this week. I was blown away by the skill of the performers (acting, mime, dance to tell a story!), their athleticism, the staging, and so on. Utterly incredible and affirming.
And if you don't like it, jog on to sportscars or something else. There are plenty of other drivers who will gladly join F1. Has always been the way.

I don't really have much time for Chalamet as he comes across of late as unlikeable as his Marty Supreme character, but to drag ballet and opera in this manner shows he's either got mummy issues, or he is totally out of touch.,

Leighton was one of the best keepers of the era. Save for a real confidence crisis period that coincided with Scotland getting knocked out of Italia 90, he was superb. People forget how he single handedly kept them in the Brazil game. But he's only remembered for spooning the ball.

My kid works at a cinema. She served the 3 who came to a showing other day - a mother & 2 late teen daughters, who both wore MAGA caps. They were English, paid for popcorn by cash (despite booking seats online) & said "we don't share our data online" when asked if they had their cinema loyalty card.
Great. At least England will have their new manager set for autumn 2026 then.
