Good Monday morning, friends!!
I was definitely radicalized by some of these programs.
But thankfully my family has always been deemed "radical" by the Nazis who've always been here.
Have a day y'all!! Stay warm!

Just a progressive scientist who actually cares more about people than scoring points. What's so wrong with being compassionate and caring? It's a lie that we have to trample our neighbors in order to succeed.

Not meant in a conspiratorial way, but if we don't trust other statements coming from these agencies we should apply a similar standard of skepticism to communications like this.
Don't let them do to you what they did to their base and get baited into believing things without proper justification.
MAGA logic:
Trump suing the government he runs for billions that would be paid by American taxpayers?
- "The statute is what the statute is"
Respecting the rights guaranteed in the bill of rights?
- "The statute is what the President says it is"
MAGA principles:
Manipulating the system to avoid accountability for exploiting others in the pursuit of personal gain?
- shrewd business practice
Using legal procedures in ways that are consistent with the purposes for which they were intended?
- perversion of justice
I'm sure Soros bought out all the tickets to deprive patriots from being able to enjoy such a masterpiece, or some other slop.
Damn. π₯
β.. Observing human behavior confirms that for some among us, the perfidious lust for unbridled power and the imposition of cruelty in its quest know no bounds and are bereft of human decency. And the rule of law be damned.β

Aren't the detention centers just temporary to keep the forced labor ranks well stocked until they can breed enough white lower caste workers to replace them?
If Trump thinks Americans are going to go quietly into fascism heβs even more demented then we thought. He doesnβt understand our love of country, our love of freedom, our love of Democracy. He doesnβt understand the pushback heβs unleashed in America. He doesnβt understand the upset heβs unleashed!
The thing that shocks me most is that all of this incriminating stuff was sitting at the DOJ for 4 years and Biden & Garland were not cynical or ruthless enough to use it against Trump & Musk in the run up to 2024.
If only they were the evil βweaponizers of governmentβ that MAGA claimed they were!
Imagine letting political correctness be the thing that allowed fascism to take over.
Journalism is not a crime.
The Justice Department should investigate the federal agents who killed US citizens in broad daylight, not arrest reporters like Don Lemon. He should be released.
It's a spine-chilling assault on press freedom and threatens the public's right to know.
Thank you, Beth! π

I was trying to think of what all the knee-jerk defense of these murders reminded me of, and then it clicked.
It's just like when a hardcore fundamentalist defends God commanding genocide, rape, stoning women to death, etc in the Bible with, "Nothing bad would've happened if they had just obeyed."
The justifications coming from some people about why Alex Pretti deserved to be shot dead sound eerily familiar.
It's like with Adam and Eve, where the common response to how all the suffering inflicted on humankind as punishment could possibly be perfect justice is, "Well, they didn't comply."
After Christianity was adopted by Rome as the state religion, the "Just War" theory (refined by St. Augustine) replaced any vestigial pacifism from its time as a persecuted minority without any cohesive creed.
The God of the Bible commanded a whole lot of genocide, and if he's Jesus, well...
The decision to keep four different Gospels (instead of the "harmonized" Diatessaron, a single gospel without contradictions) allowed Christianity to spread to very different cultures.
Being so confusing it can support totally opposing views, maybe the Bible really is Trump's favorite book?
GOP politics is basically just shitposting.
Just some of the questions we canβt allow them to get away without answering... [picture of immigration and customs enforcement agent] βIf youβre traveling with a potentially hazardous amount of glitter, does it need to be declared? If so, do you need to count how many individual pieces there are for filling out the form?β βWhat kinds of purposes for visiting the U.S. are not allowed? Like, can you come just to nap for three months straight?β βIf youβre staying in a treehouse in the woods, what address should you give? Can you list the GPS coordinates of the trunk, or should it be for the particular branch youβre on?β βWhatβs the best way to pack a bag to make sure your dildo doesnβt accidentally turn on in transit and run out power before you find the right opportunity to use it?β βHow small does a llama have to be in order to quality as a service animal you can board with? Does it need a passport, or would an Instagram account do?β
The reason for pointing out fascism is to identify the underlying circumstances that led to the horrors we know took place when fascism was allowed to thrive.
Anybody who thinks calling out fascism is just saying, "these things are the same" has got their head on backwards.
If somebody in one breath says,
"You cannot call them fascist, they're not doing X, Y, Z that this real fascist did"
and in the next breath,
"All the people in this group I can't define are anti-American socialist, communist, Marxist, globalists,"
methinks their motives are highly suspect.
Consider something known to have caused unimaginable suffering, necessarily false in all but one form and with any given form incredibly unlikely, ultimately providing nothing good that can't be found elsewhere.
Where such a thing is transcendently unassailable by logic, reason cannot stand.
History recounts too many stories with the same tired plot: people fall for a bait-and-switch, choosing to believe the unbelievable because of some promised reward if true, headless of all the terrible entailments being smuggled in.
It's high past time we provide some fresh material.
Be Minnesota, not Texas.
The issues poling is going to be nuts this midterm. Who would've thought we'd have things on offer like:
- Fascism
- Theocracy
- Feudalism
- State-run terrorism
- Eugenics
- Imperialism
- White supremacy
Whenever truth is just an opinion we're screwed, so I'd start there.
We could try something like this:
An interesting watch for anybody curious about what happened with the GOP.
youtu.be/F8INVD1d8CA?...
Plenty of reasons why Texas doesn't react the same way as Minnesota.
Maybe there's a lesson from history. About 100 years ago, popular fascist uprising, most people rather onboard with the whole thing, happy to hand over their authority to the state. Ring any bells?
Here's a hint: NAZI GERMANY!!!
Many of the actions in Texas are just prisoner transfers.
In Minnesota:
~630 wrongful detention lawsuits
Racial profiling by federal immigration agents
Retaliatory arrests against observers and traffic stops without reasonable suspicion
Designation of schools and hospitals as enforcement zones
